Version: POP Peeper 1.0
Pros: I have tried over a dozen mail notifiers and retrievers,from Incredimail(spyware)to E-Prompter,and POP Peeper does the job the best. Yes,it's not flashy, but it works great. If you are a new user,make sure your Outlook Express is setup correctly,or it might not function right. I recommend POP Peeper and the best part is, it's FREE! 5 stars and TWO thumbs UP!

Pros: read other reviews for pros...
Cons: Couldn't go a day without errors, even with updates. I would still recommend this app as they usually fix any "bugs" quickly and it is an excellent mail checker. After a week though, I lost patience with the "server-errors" on 3 different eMail accounts. I'll try again in 2-3 mos.

"Best Email Notifier,,, And It's FREE!"
Pros: Pop Peeper works with ALL email clients including Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird... you name it! Makes no difference because it's a standalone application that automatically "links" to your client. Without question, this is the most user-configurable notifier ever made. Initial setup is a breeze. Do you use web mail... hotmail, yahoo, gmail, lycos, myway, excite, etc? No worries, Pop Peeper configures port, server and security settings for you automatically. If you use Outlook Express, Mozilla, Eudora or Netscape as your primary email client, Pop Peeper can import all of your email accounts and settings automatically!
Previewing messages and deleting unwanted mail directly from the server has never been easier and with the latest version it's now possible to reply to SMTP and POP3 messages without even opening you email client.
The basic installation package includes a variety of notification options including audio alert, flashing LED on your keyboard, taskbar icon, and on-screen display. Use any combination or all... whatever suits your needs. There are also several free plugins (separate downloads) that add additional features and control. I especially like the new "Notifications" plugin which adds configuration options and notifier skins. Honestly, there are just too many other features to mention here. Bottom line, you can't go wrong with Pop Peeper. If you have any questions or problems, the publisher provides a friendly web board for fast answers. Get it now!

Pros: Good support for clients, what I didn't like about ePrompter is that it doesn't support users of Windows Live Mail and Yahoo Mail beta.
Cons: Gmail and Googlemail support please!
