"Excellent product. Very powerful and easy to use"

    May 13, 2012  |   By murdockcnet

    Version: PDF ReDirect 2.5.2

    Pros

Takes anything you can print and creates a PDF. You can combine multiple documents into one PDF, encrypt a document, and much, much more.

    Cons

    Can't think of any.

    Summary

An essential utility. Sending documents via PDF is replacing faxing, and PDF Redirect makes it simple. Wouldn't be without it.

    "Reliable, Easy, User Intuitive"

    February 26, 2012  |   By chrisnorth

    Version: PDF ReDirect 2.5.2

    Pros

Been using this program for a couple years and won't do without it. I count on PDF ReDirect to document and archive all my business files and it's never let me down. It works like a printer driver. Hit print, choose PDF ReDirect as the "printer" and it saves the file in a wink. Scan a file the same way.

    Cons

    None that I can find.

"First Class Software - Simple, Fast, Effective"

December 30, 2011  |   By Old Dog New Tricks

    Version: PDF ReDirect 2.5.2

    Pros

    - Very Fast and Simple to use
    - Always Works (for me, anyway)
    - Encryption Facilities
    - Can Merge PDFs
    - No Watermarks
    - Not Bloated

    Cons

    Have never encountered any

    Summary

PDF Redirect doesn't offer many options, but it does let you generate quality PDFs in rapid time, and that conform to ISO standards. Simply open the document you wish to convert, select PDF Redirect as your (virtual) printer and that's about it. An excellent Help function will soon have you tweaking a system that also offers encryption features as well as the ability to merge PDFs. You can amend print output settings BEFORE conversion, but not after. I particularly appreciate the lack of any watermarks.

PDF Redirect is not a viewer and you do still need Adobe or some alternative, but for generating PDFs, it's hard to beat. MS could do worse than incorporate this software into Office.

"Good function, but interface could be better."

    December 29, 2011  |   By chuckpoland

    Version: PDF ReDirect 2.5.2

    Pros

The drag and drop merge user interface will let you combine several existing PDF files. However, there's also the option to use the printer driver. This works out to be a nice way to pick selective pages of an existing PDF file and put them in a new PDF file.

    Cons

User interface is a bit clumsy. Program gets stuck once in a while, beyond the ability to respond to a cancel. Has to be killed with Windows task manager.

    Summary

    Well worth having.

"Terrific PDF Printer - more than I expected!"

    October 17, 2011  |   By bob.taylor

    Version: PDF ReDirect 2.5.2

    Pros

    - Combines PDFs from different sources (document, then CAD drawing, then jpg rendering, then excel cost estimate).
    - Specify the way the PDF opens: with/without toolbars, full screen, navigation buttons...
    - Up front, easily seen and understood quality settings for images and page rotation. No diving into sub-sub-sub menus to find a setting.
    - Works as well as the expensive Adobe bloat-ware. But it's not only free; it doesn't take 100% of the computer's effort to do its job.

    Cons

None found - really. And I've looked!

    Summary

Was just looking for a better solution than PDF 995 that I bought years ago. This is a *MUCH* better solution!
