A PC-monitoring spy, PC eGuardian lets you keep a watchful eye on your kid's computer activity, but its unstructured output mars its performance. The program-s functional, password-protected interface operates in stealth mode and is easy to maneuver. It monitors activities such as launched programs, visited URLs, and keyloggers. You'll find options to block by keywords and to filter specific applications and users to monitor. The program effectively records chat conversations added to the application filter list. All captured data is shown on the program's main window and is also accessible via an HTML log file, both of which could use some organizational aid. Rather than filtering the data into specific areas, the program lists everything together, leaving you to sort through the mess. Its Web-blocking feature failed to work and generated error messages each time we attempted to store URLs. You won't find a scheduler or a screenshot capturer here either, features common to other proficient monitoring tools. You're only given seven days to check it out, and with its missing features and flawed performance, you'll want to look elsewhere.

Publisher's description

From vbusers.com :

PC eGuardian is the tool of choice for keeping a watchful eye on your loved ones. It will record everything they do including emails and all passwords. This application provides parents and spouses with a simple to read log file containing everything that has been typed and when and where this information was entered. With this application you can forget about constantly having to update a Net Nanny or using clumsy Internet Firewalls as you will be able to discretely watch everything for yourself. This indispensable software application has been developed in response to recent events involving minors whose disappearance has been linked to their use of the Internet and more specifically "chat rooms". PC eGuardian affords parents the opportunity to have complete peace of mind that at any given time their children's activities are being discretely monitored. Every keystroke is recorded, enabling parents to view every web sited visited and the content that was typed during web chats, or even e-mails. The date and times of these conversations are also recorded. The application will run in the background and requires a password to view the logs.

Version 2.5.53 may include unspecified updates, enhancements or bug fixes.
