  i installed it it and it told me what was wrong with my computer and i dont have money so i tried to uninstall but i would let me and i had to go through so many things to get it off my computer and it was just a waste of time

• Very Good Cleaner

  Pros

  It's free, small, and it cleans adware from drives and registry. It has an easy-to-use interface. It lets you select BHOs, toolbars, startup programs, and ActiveX components to remove.

  Cons

  By default, it starts when Windows starts, but you can easily turn off that option.

  Summary

  I used PC-Clean to remove Mirar and GreatAdsForYou. It also cleaned my registry of some useless entries. It also empties My Recent Documents, Internet Explorer URL history, temporary Internet files, and Trashcan in one place. The installer also installs netpia.exe, a startup program which is unnecessary if you're not reporting to the software maker. PC-Clean itself can be used to remove netpia.exe from your startup programs.

  14 May 2009, installed it and when I clicked on get report after running the program AVG came up and said it had a virus This is the message I got from AVG program. "C:\Program Files (x86)\PC-Clean\nReport.exe";"Trojan horse Generic10.AFZ";

  Program is useful for deleting applications and processes not needed and for finding adware/spyware that other programs may not detect.

  Cons

  My new AVG Internet security program is detecting a Trojan Horse Generic10.AFZ which seems to be in the report folder of this program. I can't tell if it is an actual virus or just something that PC clean uses.

  great free program if it isn't infecting my computer with a virus that seems to be undeterminable in the AVG vault of viruses.

  it did find a few things on my system. easy to use and light on cpu.

  possible built in trojan, a bit intrusive, dosent uninstall properly .

  i tried it out on two systems and both av programs flashed up with a trojan during routine scans. that aside i find this program suspicious for a number of reasons. it always tries to pin itself to your start up menu even though you disable this in options. it does not come with a proper uninstall feature and when i tried to uninstall with revo it was very messy. it required a clean up with the registry keys and other files left over. this is very lazy programming and casts suspicion over the whole program. i understand that virus programs do not always get it right but i have tried it and several people at my college have tested it and all have said it contained a trojan.. its not really worth the effort to be honest.

• Website No Longer Exists

  When I tried to get more information on this program I found that the publisher's website no longer exists. Can't be that good.

  Cons

  "Netpia" apparently has gone out of business. Norton also lists this product as one that list many false positives.
