    "Playback not working"

    November 3, 2007  |   By NHow

    Version: P2P TV Recorder 1.75

    Pros

Can't say what I like because I haven't yet succeeded in making it work.

    Cons

Don't know if it even recorded the programme because when I tried to playback I got a Codec error message on Windows Media Player. I've installed all the codecs imaginable and it still won't playback...

    "Wow! It's amazing!"

    April 29, 2007  |   By =Zenith=

    Version: P2P TV Recorder 1.75

    Pros

Despite the fact that I can hardly see anything on playback, this P2P compared to other products available, beats them all, hands down! =P Version 1.8 at streamingstar.com might be a -tad- better than 1.75 here. Also, I found that bringing the buffering on my Sopcast up to 60 seconds might have influenced the quality somewhat.

Remember the days of exhilaration when you could actually play back your favorite tunes when you held up your dad's cassette recorder to the AM radio? Well, seeing that this whole thing is in its infancy, that's the same kind of "exhilaration" I'd like to express here. Being able to watch my favorite internet shows (while squinting) that I would normally miss -completely- is, well... Until technology steps up, I'm thrilled to have this as it is!

    Cons

Nothing -else- to choose from... yet.

    But I'm waiting. =)

    "HORRIBLE COMPANY"

    April 20, 2006  |   By disciplewarrior

    Version: P2P TV Recorder 1.51

    Pros

The software, though seemingly simple, does not work.

    Cons

NEVER BUY FROM STREAMINGSTAR INC!!!!!!! Their product doesn't work, then when I emailed them about it they just blew me off and never resolved the problem, much less ever considered giving me a refund.

    "Ughhhh !!!"

    April 6, 2006  |   By noway687

    Version: P2P TV Recorder 1.51

    Pros

Im trying hard but I cant think of any...oh yeah I know...its the only product that will record pplive...

    Cons

Well...to start off the help file is small to say the least and the English is bad...

The demo is unstable . It s supposed to be fully functional but i found it often stopped recording at odd times for no reason and yes I have highspeed broadband...It averages anywhere from 20 seconds to several minutes...for the length of recording...and then just says FINISHED...I played with it for 2 days and have given up...
