"I would give it a -5 if i could!!!!!!!!!!"
Version: Opera 9.52
Pros
Its ok but still cant beat firefox. For those of u who think opera beats firefox think again, if theres a bug it takes up to moth sometimes for it to get fixed, while it takes a few days at most for firefox
Cons
Overall, not worth it.
Summary
If you have a really low end pc, then i guess u can try it, but if u have a normal pc or even a low end pc, i sagest Firefox. Its way more customizable, the community is bigger, there are way more useful adons and in a way, a little more secure.

"I keep thinking about switching back to Firefox...but..."
Version: Opera 9.52
Pros
I've been using Opera since 9.50 came out several weeks ago. I've tried several times to go back to Firefox. But if I do, I give up the ability to put any toolbar that I want at the bottom of the page...which I love to do. I'll have to give up the much-superior Opera skins that I've grown to love. I'll have to give up the faster start-up speed and the email notification that's built right in, via its email client. I'm learning Spanish, so I'll need to give up the ability to immediately translate English to Spanish or Spanish to English via the right-context menu.
To be honest, I just can't give up all that. Opera all the way!

"GREAT BROWSER - VERY FAST AND USEFUL - HAS A FEW QUIRKS"
Version: Opera 9.52
Pros
I love the new look of the browser and especially the speed - has basic torrent ability which is cool - most sites work flawlessly - widgets are similar to many Firefox plug-ins
Cons
Has some trouble with aol mail although gmail and yahoo mail work fine and sites like Circuit city (drop down boxes render badly) otherwise all other sites work fine although sometimes there is a pause at some websites . . .
Summary
Its still a great browser and one that I always prefer to use - every once in a while you'll find a site not working great so I switch to Firefox (also great) but for speed Opera is your browser (to get the fastest speed click on "tools" at the top then go to preferences > advanced tab > network > then set "max connections to server" to 64 and "max total connections" to 64 - I dont advised setting it to 128 cause sometimes it will have trouble downloading. Opera seems to be getting better and better . . .

"Not so perfect after all..."
Version: Opera 9.52
Pros
autokey, searchbar, speedy at any time, lay-out (except the small closing TAB button), Some nice themes but thats accomplished by individuals.
Cons
the fillingformsfeature is not so usefull, Not 1 nice widget you can download, mailaccounts and RSS is lacking flexibility. example RSS: I always have to sort my feeds by hour-date to have them on top of my screen!
Summary
I like using Opera to surf on the web. But I always go back to firefox for several reasons. The next generation webbrowsers are more than just some simple applications like websurfing and checking mails. So you have to think about including some firefox add ons as standard for Opera!
The autokey to enter the logins is amazing. The looks are also much better than Firefox, even the firefox (theme) add ons are waste. I also like the speed of Opera, much faster than the standard firefox without add ons. The lay-out and tabbrowser are great. And above all... the search-adress bar is awesome!!
Firefox lacks some features like automatic filling-forms, but Operas filling-feature also lacks some flexibility. I want to auto-complete my forms like Roboform does.
And again, please... the widgets are so bad I just can't stand to install 1 of them in Opera. Opera has also the option of using a mailaccount but the account just isn't as flowless as thunderbird...
And last but biggest problem, the plug-ins are useless. At some point I could not get the Windows media player plug-in integrated. So each time I went to some nice sites... I had to open firefox. And after all, you get used to firefox so why should I switch to Opera?
At the end the browser is much better than Explorer or safari but it can't beat Firefox, just because it lacks features just like the missing tabasco in Spaghetti... -

"I was just a little curious,so..."
Version: Opera 9.52
Pros
I downloaded it and was amazed at how fast it is.
Cons
I confess that I`m another Firefox nut and would not really care to switch.8 was the last version of Opera that I test drove. This is a improvement but still no Firefox flexibility. One question, why is a Mozilla site preloaded into the bookmarks? As far as I know these Gecko type add ons cannot be used on Opera.Hmm?

"The fastest and lightest browser"
Version: Opera 9.52
Pros
In one small dowload you get the fastest browser around with many features and resources built-in that most of the times are available only as plugins or extensions in other browsers.
Cons
The compatibility with some websites is still bellow then when compared to Firefox or IE.

"Great browser"
Version: Opera 9.52
Pros
It is faster than firefox if you go into opera:config in opera, make sure that turbo mode is on and it will go even faster.
Cons
A few pages do not work with it, and sometimes this pc bring up Dr. Wattson(Debugger) then automatically kills it.
