    "nothing to be liked"

    October 16, 2014  |   By pnyli

    Version: Opera 25.0.1614.50

    Pros

none at all, none at all

    Cons

Can't even set my own HOME page with this junk browser. Interface looks similar to WIN 8 crap so may be same team was involved in its design. And is so slow when compared ro Firefox.

"i lost interest - was once great, now only ok"

    October 16, 2014  |   By ChoiceVoice

    Version: Opera 25.0.1614.50

    Pros

-works, but so does its competition.
    -extensions
-a google chrome clone (without chrome spying and system take over ... i hate that chrome wants to start with system, slowing down startup).

    Cons

-a google chrome clone (without sandbox tech).
-an hostile forum filled with opera-fanatical-fools that insults anyone.
-updater doesn't work with some browser sandbox programs (they break updater so you can not update ... same happens with google chrome, so must be a webkit thing).
-extensions may not shut off with opera program.
    -bookmarks etc sucky.

    Summary

yes, i know it uses blink, a fork of webkit:/

why use this over google chrome??? not sure. i found i can control chrome by using portable inside liberkey. liberkey updates for me and chrome behaves. don't really need opera then. plus, firefox is sweet.

    "DEAD BOOKMARK AND SYNC SYSTEM"

    October 12, 2014  |   By rickyaz4

    Version: Opera 24.0.1558.64

    Pros

    - Pretty fast
    - Renders pages well

    Cons

    - WHERE DID THE BOOKMARK MENU SYSTEM GO?
    - NO MOBILE BOOKMARK SYNC
    - You can save sites in the "stash" but they're all thrown together.
    - Non existent support
    - Support forums are worthless when it comes to this issue, they'll just shut down your post.

Why would you bother releasing a browser that lacks a bookmark menu system and no sync with mobile?!

EVEN INTERNET EXPLORER AS AN ORGANIZED BOOKMARKING SYSTEM!!

    Summary

Move foward with your browser, NOT BACKWARDS!

    Updated on Oct 12, 2014

This browser does have potential. If cnet would let me update my review, I would update it to a 3 because if renders pages very well and interface looks great. Now to be fair Internet Explorer doesn't sync either.

    Pros

    Beautiful display and Interface

    Cons

    1. No Bookmark
    2. Poor synchronize Function
    3. A little extension

    Summary

I think Bookmark is important . If Opera can synchronize Bookmark from Google or Google Chrome. It will perfect browser

"I think Opera has even given up"

    October 6, 2014  |   By bmallek540

    Version: Opera 24.0.1558.64

    Pros

Does work a lot of the time

    Cons

Doesn't load pages, slow, memory hog.

    Summary

The past couple of ratings for Opera haven't been so good and there's a good reason. Since Opera must be aware that their browser is (to say the least) sub-par and not corrected it, it would seem like Opera has given up also. It has gotten so bad that I removed Opera from my system. I may check back in a few months but as it stands now, Opera is miserable.

    "Even better."

    September 19, 2014  |   By kendawson

    Version: Opera 24.0.1558.61

    Pros

When I first tried the new Webkit version some time ago, I was terribly disappointed at the apparent lack of user control over things and reverted immediately to Opera 12.17. Perhaps I didn't spend enough time exploring it, I don't know, but I have now installed the latest version 24.0.1558.61 and have found everything that I liked about v.12.17 and more, including an even better speed-dial, stash and the ability to delete browsing history and individual cookies while browsing. We've still got the mouse gestures, keyboard shortcuts and there are plenty of useful extensions to add on.

Contrary to what some people are saying, it does import bookmarks. I found the bookmark import icon on the speed-dial page and it will import into bookmarks or speed-dial.

    Cons

The only thing I'm missing is the Notes facility which I found really useful.

    Summary

I didn't think version 12.17 could be improved but I was wrong. I think Opera have stopped supporting it now so to all you 12.17 lovers, I can recommend installing this latest version. It's very polished and fast.

    "Not ready for prime time."

    September 6, 2014  |   By st737mn

    Version: Opera 24.0.1558.53

    Pros

Fast clean interface, like the tabs open in front
Running on Win 7 Home Prem / ASUS ROG laptop

    Cons

Ver 24 and still no bookmark import

    Summary

Fast but not much use if I have to import 100's of bookmarks manually
    Uninstalled......
