Publisher's Description
From Opera Software:
Opera is a fast, user-friendly, and highly versatile Internet browser that includes a newsreader, integrated search, and e-mail client. The keyboard plays an integral role in surfing, making Web navigation easy and fast. You can run multiple windows even at start-up, and special features are included for users with disabilities. The standards support in Opera 7 has been improved with added support for DOM level 2 and CSS2; improved ECMAScript and HTML 4.01 support; and complete WML 1.3 and 2.0 support. It also handles nonstandard pages using DHTML.
The latest release comprises a major overhaul, resulting in a faster rendering engine and a smaller overall file size, plus an enhanced user interface to make Web navigation easier than ever. The new M2 e-mail client automatically categorizes and sorts e-mail messages, incorporates an integrated spam filter, and supports POP3, IMAP, and ESMTP formats. Other new features include password and cookie managers, improved drag-and-drop support, a floating hot list, user profiles, and a host of others such as an integrated pop-up stopper, skin support, and Fast Forward and Rewind buttons for expedited navigation.
Note: The full version of Opera is now available for free in an ad-sponsored version. Registered users will not see ads.

"Comparing the browsers; OPERA outperforms MOZILLA; IE"
Version: Opera 12.15
Pros
The new IE is hanging; the website names have changed and none of the
bookmarks work they are now under FAVORITESCons
OPERA gives me menus much like SAFARI/APPLE
Summary
Thanks for the review on CNET; downloading another browser for WINDOWS always makes me wonder about stolen APPLE software back in 1995.

"Wow Opera is back"
Version: Opera 12.15
Pros
It's not Google Chrome.
After downloading Chrome I found out it had included "Allsearch"
which was kind enough to appoint itself the administrator of My
only remaining Windows Laptop.
after handwirin bthe vfirst Trackball, and Mouse at Xerox PARC,
and hand wiring the first Modem, they must have thought I needeed
the help.
4 days later it downloaded Search Conduit, and My Antivirus
program had a fit, so "Allsearch Removed My Firewall, and
antivirus program, to help such an old simpleton, as Me.
After a Format of my hard drive I now have Opera, which
I used in MY unix-Linux days, Opera is back, this one is like
the opera I loved when it first came out, not5 a memory hog
like IE, or Chrome, much like vthe learn and mean FirefoxCons
None found yet, but if so will ammend this review
Summary
Opera, sining like pavoratti

"Not many Bells and whistles But is Good Stable Browser"
Version: Opera 12.15
Pros
It does not crash like Chrome
It does not freeze up like Firefox.
It is reasonably fast
Setting are retained between usesCons
Does not have the cool plug-ins like Firefox
Summary
The fact that you can use Opera day after day and not have it crash or freeze up makes it well worth using. The trouble free browsing helped me forget the plug-ins on Firefox real fast. I highly recommend Opera Browser I use it on my desk top and on my phone. Trouble Free !

"Try it, you'll like it."
Version: Opera 12.15
Pros
It is working pretty well now.
Cons
Yahoo Mail still does not like Opera and it tries to get you to switch to another browser or degrade back to Yahoo Classic Mail.

"WOW after this update Opera is better and really Fast"
Version: Opera 12.15
Pros
After this update Opera is much faster and will now render Ebay pages better. It is the only Browser I use and have been for over a year.I see many more add-ons also. After I updated Opera Im glad it saved all of my Bookmarks,Extensions,Plugins and all of my settings.I already liked Opera but this Update made it better.
Cons
No cons at all
Summary
Opera is a great Browser.I prefer it over Firefox or Google Chrome. Thanks Opera for this Update and very Fast speed increase.I hope your future Updates will be as good as this one. There is no Malware that comes with Opera like another Reviewer just posted.Could have been the CNET Installer on the Download link that can add a Toolbar. You can Download it directly from the Opera Website.

"Opera might be great, but not the malware with it"
Version: Opera 12.15
Pros
Seems to be a decent browser. Haven't had much time to play with it since I've been working to eradicate the malware crap that road into my computer with it.
Cons
Appears that either Opera is just a vehicle for this malware or the malware is being implanted by some 3rd party. You would think that Cnet would not foster downloads that come with this type of things. I got hijacked by something called conduit.com or Mixitdj v8 toolbar that weasels its way into your system and changes your browser settings and redirects constantly to its own search engine and flashes it's message YOUR SYSTEM IS TOO SLOW!!! and the like.
Summary
Jury's still out on Opera, but I'm reluctant to download "safe" software from Cnet again anytime soon.

"Opera 12.15 Actually Works"
Version: Opera 12.15
Pros
Pretty decent build this 12.15 - almost all pages and sites now render properly, load fast, play all audio and video formats. Good selection of add-ons, themes features.
Cons
Still doesn't properly play Netflix video without manually disguising Opera as Firefox, but that's the only flaw I can find.
Summary
Opera's recent partnering up with Google must have had something to do with this version being so well put together. I'm thinking Google engineers must have showed the Opera folks how to build a browser that actually renders pages properly. Looking forward to Opera and Google's new rendering engine - Blink in the near future. Whoever is responsible for this Opera version, WELL DONE!!!
MM4U and EricVonZipper now in "Opera Snyc!" ;^)

"Not a 5* rating, but alternitives force me to do so."
Version: Opera 12.15
Pros
Easy, fast, clean, and I've used it since inception. Tried other things, very determined to learn them and make them work, but the offer so much less.
Cons
Somethings haven't changed since inception, should be much much more comprehensive and inclusive of what anyone does every day, with no need to go else where. OPERA doesn't work on really improving this anymore, it must be making more money elsewhere.
-
"Very Presumptuous"
Version: Opera 12.14
Pros
It's a browser
Cons
NO installation options - puts it where it d___ well pleases (on the boot drive, of course, just where I DIDN'T want it).
Sets itself as the default browser w/o asking.Summary
A browser this mature should do better than this. I would not bother with it again.
Used for a few minutes, looked at add-ons, decided inadequate in general, removed from system.
