    "works for me"

    October 21, 2014  |   By ChoiceVoice

    Version: Opera Mail 1.0

    -intuitive and familiar layout
-i love their grouping of all messages
-no addons etc needed for functionality. everything built in.
    -easy to setup

-worried it will not be developed in future with opera presto's death.
-when i delete all trash or move spam to trash and erase, sometimes the counter (which tells you how many messages etc are in a folder) is incorrect. it seems to sometimes not delete all the messages or something ???

unusually low ratings for such a worthy email program. is thunderbird better? perhaps (opinions may vary - ???) ... but that doesn't diminish this product.

"Worse software ever I tried You CANNOT use it!"

    July 5, 2014  |   By andreaborman

    Version: Opera Mail 1.0

None. With Outlook Express it asks you for you POP server-
    I don't know that.
Then It asks you for you SMPT server-
I don't know that. So you cannot use Outlook Express anyway unless you know the POP server. But Opera Mail does not even ask you for that so you've got NO CHANCE of using it.

Even when you set up your eail corectly it does not work. There is no Send and receive on Opera mail so you cannot get your mail.

With Outlook Express and Clones. That is Outlook Express, Windows Mail, and Windows Live Mail if you know the POP server( which I don't) you can at least use the email client and get your mail.
But with Opera Mail you cannot revive any email messages and it does not work at all. There is no send and receive on Opera Mail. And Each message you try to send fails. So it is absolutely useless. Opera Mail is the most useless piece of junk ever. But then this is the same software that makes Opera web browser which is also terrible and unusable. So uninstall this in 10 minutes of tryng to use it. Don't waste your time with this as you won't be able to use it at all. Stick to Outlook Express or Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail which works on Windows 8. Forget Opera Mail.
    Andrea Borman.

    "Needs to mature a lot"

    June 14, 2013  |   By GCG1000

    Version: Opera Mail 1.0

    Stay with Thunderbird!

Does not save messages properly a "All Files". Cannot reopen what was previously saved. Needs facility for users to create their own personal folders and store their messages in them. Filtering is primitive.

Opera has dropped the ball on this app!
