Version: OpenProj 1.4
"A Very Promising Beta..."
Pros: This program is very feature-rich, despite still being a beta. I really like the different ways of visualizing project development-- the Gantt is my favorite, it really helps you to see the project timeline and avoid procrastinating. I wish I had a Gantt chart in my calendar/pim program for personal use!
Cons: This program IS still in beta phase, and it shows in the look and feel. I don't have many complaints about the visual graphics, as I prefer function over form, but the feel, usability, and learning curve do need some improvements. Though I didn't find this program as hard to use as other reviewers did, people who aren't very familiar with project management (like me) may find the terminology a bit confusing. I'd recommend offering a guided tour of OpenProj when the program first starts (the more pictures, the better)-- that would improve the learning curve. Besides that, just a few tweaks to the GUI, and this program is ready to get out of beta!
