"Works as well as Office 2007."
Version: OpenOffice.org 2.3
Pros
I have used the Word-style portion and only a short session with the Excel-style but both worked very similar to the original. i need more time to experiment with the new package.

"Easy to use. Good alternative to MS."
Version: OpenOffice.org 2.3
Pros
The great thing about this product is that it is an easy transition from other suites to this one. the level of confusion is in my opinion kept in comfortable numbers. The fact that it is free makes you want to work with the program just a little more.

"Not there yet.. keeps crashing"
Version: OpenOffice.org 2.3
Pros
Ive been trying open office for 5 days now, and its free, and all the functionalities are there. Is about just as heavy to run as microsoft office i think. Nice user interface and good community support, with a lot of libraries etc.
Cons
But, unfortunitaly the thing keeps crashing on me. Like i said, for 5 days ive been trying open office, and at least 10 times its crashed on me. Thats kinda frustrating. If a more stable version would be released that would be a major improvement. Until then its back to Microsoft for me, and definitely not happy about that. WINBLOWS....

"Excellent!!!"
Version: OpenOffice.org 2.3
Pros
Thank goodness, someone thought of an idea to build a software that it pretty much similar to Microsoft Office. But then without paying $500+.
Cons
Needs some getting used. But it's all good.

"THIS FAR OUTSHINES MICROSOFT OFFICE..."
Version: OpenOffice.org 2.3
Pros
I have been using open office for a couple of years and I like the fact that it doesn't play games like Microsoft does about using other applications in addition to using its software. In fact openoffice.org far outshines microsoft in that you can save, open, and work in any format with out loosing any info.
Cons
It has yet to become compatible with corel office products however i have absolutely no complaints.
