Version: OpenOffice.org (Intel) 3.0
"Standard fare, not amazing."
Pros: Saw a new starter button, also compare to other SW - in Java. Same PC. Disappointment. Same spreadsheet took about five times longer to run through the calculations. Truth be told; however; it is much improved on what I downloaded a year ago.
Cons: It is not entirely intuitive and Sun will know what I mean since being part of the open community they should know about the Commodore Amiga A500. First PC I bought in High Street with 4096 Colours, WorkBench windows (Desktop) and a mouse in 1987.
Summary: The extensions for formatting is a huge improvement. I understand Sun's possible reluctance to do everything themselves, but if there is no concerted direction in effort, open source, gratis software will remain a mite.
