  Pros

  1. Simple and straight forward to install
  2. Operates with little or no user intervention
  3. After initial backup, process appears fast and effecient

  Cons

  1. No help file!!!
  2. Don't understand restore process.
  3. File\Folder selection for backup inclusion messy at times .
  4. Don't understand file version protocol . Which file is which?
  5. Don't understand "Reverse Delta" or VSS Shadowing" process?

  Summary

  1.Like it's ease of initial implementation and scheduling flexability
  2. Like the requirement for no ongoing need for constant intervention in the process.
  3. Keping versions of the files as they mutate is good idea, if I could figure out which is which.
  3.Speed after intial backup is good,
  5. I would vote for not compressing\decompressing data base. Large Hard disks are cheap!
  6. With some Help material for self-education and understanding I am sure I could wring more features and benefits out of the product.

  Badly need detailed outline of product capabilities and critically need on line help\users manual!

  Please note that I work for Altaro.
  
  I just want to let you know that our online help is available at wiki.altaro.com. Here you can find information and tutorials about all features including: Restoring, Reverse Delta, VSS Shadow Copy etc.
  
  Also the BackInTime browser gives you previews and time stamps for each version to help you figure out which version to restore.
