"Ideal for Home Office\Home Business user"

April 22, 2010  |  By jjmig

 |  Version: Oops!Backup 2.2.7

Pros

1. Simple and straight forward to install
2. Operates with little or no user intervention
3. After initial backup, process appears fast and effecient

Cons

1. No help file!!!
2. Don't understand restore process.
3. File\Folder selection for backup inclusion messy at times .
4. Don't understand file version protocol . Which file is which?
5. Don't understand "Reverse Delta" or VSS Shadowing" process?

Summary

1.Like it's ease of initial implementation and scheduling flexability
2. Like the requirement for no ongoing need for constant intervention in the process.
3. Keping versions of the files as they mutate is good idea, if I could figure out which is which.
3.Speed after intial backup is good,
5. I would vote for not compressing\decompressing data base. Large Hard disks are cheap!
6. With some Help material for self-education and understanding I am sure I could wring more features and benefits out of the product.

Updated on Apr 22, 2010

Badly need detailed outline of product capabilities and critically need on line help\users manual!

"Does it simple - Does it right"

April 21, 2010  |  By pzorr2

 |  Version: Oops!Backup 2.2.7

Pros

Replicates your chosen files onto an external disk or drive and keeps the copy always current. No need for any "restore" software - just copy the replicated copy to where ever you want. Interface is straight forward and tech support is responsive.

Cons

I have no complaints with this software.

Summary

I would recommend this software to anyone who wishes to automate the copying of their data off their hard drive everytime a chosen file changes.

 |  Version: Oops!Backup 2.2.7

Pros

very good & quick support.

Cons

could do with a HELP button.

Summary

I haven't had to use it yet but its good to have it working away without remembering to back up.A HELP button would be usefull because like anything if you dont use it regularly you dont know remember how.

"Wow! This product just saved my ass! Thanks!"

April 20, 2010  |  By z6user

 |  Version: Oops!Backup 2.2.7

Pros

A very new concept in backup and is a breadth of fresh air. I had an evaluation version running for 2 weeks and just yesterday I saved a psd file i was working on over another psd file. It took me the grand total of 30 seconds to get it back!

Cons

I have been using oops backup it for 2 weeks and till now I can't see any cons .. hopefully it will remain that way.

Summary

What amazes me about oops backup is how fast it runs on my system and a feature that they call Back in Time. I suggest installing the evaluation version and see for yourself.

Oops backup saved me from a lot of hassle - definitely recommended.

"Terrible!!!"

April 20, 2010  |  By redserpent7

 |  Version: Oops!Backup 2.2.7

Pros

Does backup your files... not as efficient as one might think though.

Cons

Crappy interface.
Unwise choice of colors.
Weird backup and restore behavior that sometimes corrupt you're files when you attempt to restore them.
Need a lot of extra work that seems unnecessary for a backup software.

Summary

Crappy software that doesn't always do what its asked for.
The UI colors are boring and really a terrible choice to be used for a software.
Sometimes it corrupts your files when you try to restore them.

Bottom Line... Not recommended for people who value their files. Learned that the hard way.
