"Similar to the game Oh Hell as I've learned to play it"
Version: Oh PShaw 1.0.12
Pros
It's very similar to Oh Hell as I've learned it. The computer players are not terrible - they actually play as a normal player would - but not as an expert would (which may be good for most players). This is by far my favorite card game and it follows the games stated rules fairly well - though as I say in the following section, this is not necessarily a good thing (though perhaps it is for those who want to play it as it is officially ruled).
Cons
When I play it I stop at 4 cards (3,2 and 1 card are much too dependent on luck rather than skill and so we don't play those tricks) - i.e., two rounds of 10 to 4..We also use Jokers which are automatic low cards which can be used at any time to avoid following suit, or to lead (in which case the next person's suit is the lead suit), or, if it comes up as trump, the dealer chooses what trump is to be after looking at his hand. These differences make it a much more interesting and skill-oriented game. If would be good if either this software allowed these rules as options or ran the game using these rules instead of those it does. It would also be good if it had different levels of skill so that experts could optionally play computer opponents who were better than those provided with the software. I also don't like the sound effects - they are annoying - it would be good to have the option to mute the effects or perhaps have other options for sounds (besides having to mute the whole computer).
