"Didn't expect to find it useful enough... SURPRISE!"
Version: OfficeTime 1.6.1
Pros
Ease of use, very intuitive & clear. Excellent quick reporting for snapshot of where the hours have been reported. Great background functionality and time validation ("you've been away for 26 minutes... keep or delete those minutes")
More features than I am needing right now.
It is helping me stay on track, on schedule, and stay AWARE of time!! Being very A.D.D. when it comes to time and schedules, this is a life-saver!Cons
I'm not sure if I can do the kind of nested categorization that I could use...
Summary
Very easy and intuitive to use. Exceptional functionality. I have limited needs for this, but what I do need right now it really shines! So I am happily now a paid owner!!

"Effortlessly track work time and manage billing"
Version: OfficeTime 1.5.2
Pros
It's very, very easy to use but packed with useful features.
Cons
At time of writing a currency conversion tool would be useful for international clients.
Summary
OfficeTime makes keeping track of time and billing so easy it's actually a pleasure to use. It's all I've needed for managing the business side of my work as a self employed graphic designer. I recommend this to anyone who needs to keep track of time spent on work, and even to those who only need a simple, but powerful, tool for managing invoicing. It has not once gone wrong in the 3 years that I've been working with it, and it's been in use every working day since I first downloaded. It's flexible so you can adjust times and expenses for each job and/or client. There's great features to see how much time you're spending and money you're making in any given time period. Creating you're own branded invoice template is simple. As my business has grown OfficeTime as met the demands, with 'wouldn't it be good to have features' already in place. Worth every penny.

"In 18 years of looking, best I have found!"
Version: OfficeTime 1.4.2
Pros
Three key features make the product shine: integration with iCal for quick data entry and checking for errors; menu bar utility for quick entry; and easy reporting to monitor time use.
Cons
Currently I can only assign different rates to different categories of work. I need to assign different rates to different client projects - this though is coming in version 2.

"OfficeTime: Powerful and Extremely Simple"
Version: OfficeTime 1.3.3
Summary

After using iBiz, Studiometry, Billings, Quicken and MYOB - OfficeTime is a breath of fresh air. The thing I like most is how simple it is to start tracking your time, yet how powerful it is at the same time. I would like to see more invoice/payment tracking (which is said to be in the works), but even as is, this is my favorite time tracking software. I use it to track all of my time, work and personal and the reports give me a great overview of where I spend my hours.
I can't say enough great things about this software, and the support/response I have received from the developer is excellent. Do yourself a favor and try this software - you will be hooked. -
"OfficeTime Rocks"

I've been using OfficeTime for a few months now and cannot recommend it highly enough....
I'm a developer and use the software EVERY day and truly couldn't live without it! Before OfficeTime, I would track my time in excel, usually forgetting to record when I started or finished a project, and basically just making guesses. Now, OfficeTime makes it easy to just click the timer button once when I start a project, and again when I'm done. I don't have to enter a date and time. I don't have to think about it at all, and I always know I my billing is accurate.
Recently my windows vista laptop locked up (the problem had nothing to do with OfficeTime). I shut off my laptop (a hard-reboot), started it back up, opened up OfficeTime and was pleasantly surprised that OfficeTime was aware that it had been in-elegantly shut down, and offered to send a bug-report to technical support. [now that's good customer service!]
The program started back up without any problems, and my last session
was ended right where I left off.
The other feature I just love, is when I walk away from my laptop for any length of time, OfficeTime knows the computer has been idle and offers to deduct the minutes while I was "away" or keep them... this is a lifesaver! It allows me to be sure I don't bill customers for non-productive time.
HIGHLY recommended... Best software purchase I've made in years.... Lots of features for the cost. -
"Exactly what I was looking for"
Version: OfficeTime 1.3.3
Summary

I was looking for an easy-to-use, minimal learning curve, non-bloatware time/billing app. I checked out several titles (somehow overlooking OfficeTime at first), but could not find the "right" app...either functionality that I felt important was missing (e.g., how to handle overtime billing on a retainer), or I discovered spotty functionality in the demo (e.g., iCal integration that didn't work as advertised).
In OfficeTime I found *exactly* what I was looking for. Their marketing message "intuitive and deceptively simple" is dead-on.
Features I love:
1. Easy project setup and selection. The menulet is great!
2. It syncs with iCal both ways, so you can easily tag an appointment for time billing under a specific project in OfficeTime.
3. Flexible rate management (e.g., I have different support packages that provide up to a specified number of hours per month for a flat fee, and then overtime is discounted off my regular hourly rate). OfficeTime handles the set up, use, and reporting on this need fantastically.
4. A useful little "remind me" tool.
I use a separate accounting package, so I don't really use OT's invoicing capabilities, but the reporting is quite comprehensive and useful.
Feature requests:
1. Direct Google Calendar integration. It syncs seamlessly with iCal (as does Google Calendar via CalDAV), so iCal is suitable middleware as long as you remember to launch it to sync updates between Google Calendar and OfficeTime.
2. iPhone app or web interface -
"Great Product"
Version: OfficeTime 1.2.3

I've used a variety of time management utilities including QuickBooks' app. None of the programs I've tried match the features or ease of use that OfficeTime does.
I'm now confident that the time I bill my clients or track for costing is accurate.
The 'Quick Reports' are great! They let me know at a glance where I am with job costs -

...this is not klunky bloatware but a sleek focussed app that does job timing and cost tracking with style and economy of means. The iCal integration is particularly good. I have found nothing to compare with OfficeTime for thoughtful and efficient design. -
"Simply the best"
Version: OfficeTime 1.2.1

I have been using OfficeTime for a couple years and have seen it progress over time. With each new version it has gotten better and more intuitive. The UI is gorgeous. This software has probably caused me less frustration than any other software I have ever used, of any kind. It just gets out of your way and does its job, from the moment you set it up, and it is so intuitive there is basically no learning curve. Before I found OfficeTime, I tried other shareware time tracking software, and nothing else out there even deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as OfficeTime. Truly first class all the way. -
"Perfect Time Tracking"
Version: OfficeTime 1.01
Summary

Provides everything I need for advanced time tracking. I especially love the integration with iCal which works amazingly well! I've used many similar products but this one can't be beat. Report features, timer management, and flexible project tracking make for a very powerful combination for my web design and programming company. We share OfficeTime files from employee to employee without trouble. I would love to see some kind of central OfficeTime server for multi-user systems in the future, but I know how complicated that could get. Also I'd like to be able to project-specific categories and employees. Great stuff, keep it up!
