Pros
Drag and drop for adding or removing Icons is very handy frees up 99% of the desktop giving a great minimalist feel.
Cons
Would have liked quick launch icons imported as well in free version also cant completely move recycle bin to dockbar but that's more a windows shortfall.

"very useful add-on to simply your windows desktop. . ."

"versatile and fun"
Version: ObjectDock 2.0
Pros
The app is fun, especially if you are someone who fidgets or like to experiment with their creativity. The capability is there to totally remodel your desktop - including using built in features to move the task bar and tray onto docks and hide the default ones. Icons can be PNG or the traditional ICO. A PNG icon is easier to work with to create (or download from WinCustomize.com) custom icons to use to create useful and aesthetic arrangements.
I have separate "tabbed" docks that sort programs by type. Graphics, Office, Internet, and so on. I have a single "zoomer" dock that my most used applications are ready at my mouse click. I don't have to open the start menu and locate the program I want. There is a small zoomer bar with scaled icons that have a select few text and graphics programs that I use often. This includes some helper ones that I open and close frequently.Cons
A common problem is installation (no shortcuts - do it the right way to avoid problems) and a learning curve that slows first time users. In the past I have had problems with the docks keeping their initial configuration, especially the chosen icons. With 2.0 that seems to have gone away. Now, to me, the most nagging problem is finding enough new docks and icons to keep up with my constant need to fidget.
Summary
The docks can completely eliminate any need to use the Windows menu system. File management is at fingertips and applications where you expect them - always ready.
