"Version 2.0 alitte buggy but compatible with Win 7!"
Version: ObjectDock 2.0
Pros
-Works with Win 7
-Improved interfaceCons
-Still some bugs (like adding icons)
-Currently no tech support (beta)Summary
Overall a good improvement of a classic program. I think Mac's have it as a default. It just needs some more tweaking to be fully ready

"I'd like it better if it wouldn't crash constantly."
Version: ObjectDock 2.0
Pros
I used ver 1 for a long time with good results. If it can improve on it, all the better.
Cons
As I said, I'd like it a lot more if it wouldn't crash every time I use it so I can't really give it a grade.

"a nice "tray" for your shortcuts"
Version: ObjectDock 2.0
Pros
Provides a nice (and if chosen, animated) look for shortcuts and reduces clutter
Options interface is nice (though somewhat confusing if you've been through OD1.9)
Icon reflections
More effects
More customization options
Seems pretty stable and lightCons
The dock doesn't look as good if positioned anywhere except at the bottom
Running indicators sometimes don't work.
It's practically OD1.9 with reflections unless you upgradeSummary
From OD1.9, OD 2.0 is pretty good- icon reflections, new indicators, nicer UI, more options, etc. The only thing I really didn't like, was that dock bg's do not flip when on top, so icon reflections are below the icons. Icon reflections also don't work when on the sides. So, it's better off being placed at the bottom (I had OD1.9 on top).

"Takes up too many resources & crashed within 5 minutes!"
Version: ObjectDock 2.0
Pros
Looks good but works the same as Quick Launch.
Cons
I'm not all that impressed. While it looks great, the application crashed twice within 5 minutes of installing (and not because of my laptop). It also seems to take up a lot of resources.
Summary
It doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence when you get an VENDOR (not Windows) error "Encountered a problem and needs to close," right after installation!

Cons
It Crashes Sometimes.

"Still the best dock for Windows"
Version: ObjectDock 2.0
Pros
Nice effects and options for usability. Good GUI, especially the new reflections effect.
Cons
No nice built-in themes for the reflective icons if mounted on top of the screen. It will never replace the Windows 7 superbar. Upgraded version has more options.
Summary
It's the best dock for Windows out there. It's what it's made to be, just a dock, never a replacement of the taskbar. Although the upgraded version sports more features that could potentially replace the taskbar, it won't work for me.
Reasons to have this application:
1. It makes a nice application launcher, and in terms of GUI and options, it's the best yet.
2. It makes your desktop look cool and neat, especially when you want a Mac-inspired PC.
3. For Windows XP and Vista users, it's a really useful application since there is no built-in application launcher.
Reasons not to have this application:
1. It will never replace the taskbar or Windows 7's superbar. The applications could be pinned to the superbar, why need this dock?
2. Slows down old computers, especially at boot up.
3. For Windows 7 users, we have a taskbar which can pin applications, and even include a live thumbnail of the application running, I guess there would be no reason to really need this dock.
These are my opinions, and I suggest you try this application if it will work for you. -
"Installs seamlessly over previous version, still good!"
Version: ObjectDock 2.0
Pros
Mac-like doc that leaves your desktop uncluttered.
Cons
Version 1.9 had problems with changing resolution, specifically going to a higher resolution left the dock floating, haven't used 2.0 long enough to see if the same happens.
-
"The best desktop customization on the market."
Version: ObjectDock 2.0
Pros
This is a very simply program to use. It is flexible and allows you to control every aspect of your program interface. It even has an option to hide the taskbar, which makes it much more user friendly then other docks.
Cons
None. This is an excellent product.
Summary
This is a must have for anyone who likes to add flare to their Widows system.
