Version: NovaBACKUP 10.0.25
"It works, it's reasonably fast."
Pros: It works, it's reasonably fast & you can select a destination drive such as a 2nd hard drive or an external hard drive. Let me put it like this. I have a full version copy of this in v8 but don't use it. It has a built in AV scanner that scans the files as their being backed up. This version supposedly had a drive imaging module. All in all, if everything does what this publisher claims, it might be worth a look see.
Cons: it's just a personal opinion but I prefer a file backup program that doesn't encrypt the backups. I like to look & see whats in there for peace of mind. At $50, I can think of other, cheaper file backup options. Second Copy is a good choice & less expensive. I use Windows XP Pro & Windows Vista Ultimate. Both have built in file backup modules that I can attest to working well, though in a similar manor as this program. But, the two very best backup programs I've ever used are Norton Ghost (and I'm not in any way a fan of Norton)& the program you get free when you buy a Maxtor One Touch (dang if I know what it's called) external hard drive. This trial is to limited and signing up opens the door for spam emails from this company. With all this in mind, I just can't recommend this program.

You don't have to actually use the backup portion of the software but rather the Copy function will work as you are wanting it sounds like. Also with the new imaging system implemented it is actually really slick. Just throwing my two cents in.
