"Easy. Free. Very Useful."
Version: NotesHolder Lite 1.32
Pros
This program does exactly what I need it to do - it keeps my notes handy on a variety of topics and helps me stay organized. I use it as a partial to-do list and sometimes as just a supplemental clipboard. It takes no time to set up, the interface is very intuitive, and even the free version includes useful functions like reminders, stay-on-top, and search.
In all, this program does what it says it does simply and efficiently, and for the price (free) it can't be beat by any other program I've seen. I like it so much I'm likely to upgrade to the full version just to give the authors their due.
Cons
The only thing about the interface that I'm still getting used to is that all the notes are displayed in one window. While this lends to a very uncluttered desktop, it's different from the old Turbo Note that I used to use. That program (which no longer offers a freeware version and charges almost double for the full version) used to lay out the notes one-by-one across the desktop in a variety of colors, just like real stickies. In some ways, that interface was appealing because taking down the stickies was its own reward. I'd like to see that as an option for this program, but perhaps that's just because I'm still getting used to the new interface.

"Cuts out desktop clutter"
Version: NotesHolder Lite 1.32
Pros
I have used Post-It notes virtual sticky notes and it was okay, but I HATE desktop clutter...and this program definatley does that. You can have it hidden until you scroll over it...you can see your notes and then click back on your desktop and they are hidden again.
Cons
I wish the free version had the ability to sort your notes like the full version does.

"Great product."
Version: NotesHolder Lite 1.32
Pros
The best thing is how it docks itself to the side of your screen and hides. If you need it you just move your mouse over to that side and it pops up. You can also doc it.

"Throw Away Your Post-Its!"
Version: NotesHolder Lite 1.32
Pros
This is a really useful little program. I liked the Lite version so much that I ended up deciding to purchase the full version of this program for $14.95. It's very handy, especially as a to-do list, because you can set reminders but aren't required to list a time or date for every event or note you add. I like this because I tend to have dozens of little "need to get around to" things floating around in my head at any given time, which don't adapt themselves readily to a datebook or calendar program. It sets my mind more at ease to just know that I have it jotted down somewhere for safe-keeping, in one place where I can't lose it. Then if I'm stuck home on a rainy day and feel like squaring away part of my never-ending to-do list, I have a list of things to select from to get done. Basically, I highly recommend this program if you're the type of person (I am) who jots tons of little notes to yourself on paper, such as shopping lists or to-do lists, and then misplaces them and suffers through the nagging feeling that you're not remembering all of it. It's a great and simple little organizer.
If you decide to get the full version, it's even better than the lite version, offering the ability to organize notes into categories that you pick, to run applications or play sounds when a reminder goes off, to use Windows hotkeys, and to export your notes into a file. The last feature especially is handy if you want to make a checklist for shopping or household tasks. Thumbs up, overall, to both versions.
Cons
The only thing I can think of that I didn't really care for is that when typing the date or time for a reminder, you can't tab from MM to DD to YYYY or from HH to MM to SS. Instead of tabbing between these fields, it goes to the next selection, so you have to arrow between them if you are using the keyboard.

"Notes for the busy person"
Version: NotesHolder Lite 1.32
Summary
NotesHolder automatically hides itself and comes with a load of easy keyboard shortcuts. It's great for keeping up with the day's busy events or in place of my limited memory as people come and go in the office. NotesHolder Pro has even more features you'll want to get.
