"IMHO, the best tool for a number of important functions"
Version: NoteTab Pro 6.2
Pros
from simply taking notes to creating html, this is the best program
Cons
none.it's older than the 'cloud', so it doesn't sync. BFD.
Summary
if you can afford this, buy it!
-

Cons
Nothing cons!
-
"Upgrades are full price"
Version: NoteTab Pro 6.2
Pros
Different from notepad
Cons
Upgrades should be discounted for existing customers. Fookes just charged me full price to upgrade.
-
"The PERFECT text processor"
Version: NoteTab Pro 6.2
Pros
small footprint, extremely fast, color code highlighting, beaucoup ascii text manipulations, easy coding of HTML/PHP/CSS/JS, etc.
Cons
Had to upgrade to Win7 compatible version ($15) after only a decade with the original program. (wink)
Summary
This program has saved me countless hours of manual file editing with its ASCII conversion features. Programming is considerably easier with the code highlighted in various colors. Since I hand-code websites, this is the handiest tool I have on my computer. I give NTP my highest compliments and hearty recommendations, with no second thoughts. So, try it, already! I'll bet you buy it.

"The best text editor Ever"
Version: NoteTab Pro 6.2
Pros
7 year PAID user, 2 year free user, will never use anything else.
Cons
None that I can say. I use about 10%-15% of its functionality, for html, for favorting and storing 1000's of txt file, Clips, and network use on two computers so they both share identical settings. No complaints.
Summary
Damm good, not sloppy programming, not bloated, just an excellant text editor for webmasters, programmers, or heavy use txt file users.

"The best text editor"
Version: NoteTab Pro 6.2
Pros
Note Tab is programmable. I have created a whole suite of clips for it to aide in the creation of poser.cr2 files that make it the most powerful CR2 editor of them all.
Cons
No cons, only pro's.
Summary
I have used Note Tab for years as a text editor, I paid for the Pro version to get the unlimited Un-Do's. Then I started to make some clips to make it easier to edit Poser CR2 files, starting out with some simple clips to paste commonly used chunks of code. The clip library has grown into a incredibly huge and complex one that turns Note Tab into a advanced CR2 editor, with features not found in purpose built ones. Some of my best clips generate thousands of lines of code, and they prompt you for the values and fill them in in the proper places. Oh, and I also still use it for all of my menial text tasks as well.

"Simply the best text based editor.."
Version: NoteTab Pro 6.2
Pros
The inbuilt simple script language can do just about anything. Plus for writing good prose it's great to get away from the distraction of a wysiwyg editor. Outline files in text format are powerful.
Cons
Nothing really. Perhaps that it doesn't remember the last cursor position when you reopen a file... Actually.. bookmarks aren't permanent. But for that I use a companion program.
Summary
This program rocks. The only downside is I have a tendency to rave about it to friends. It is regularly updated, well supported by the company and online forums. It can do so much more than I use it for and I drive it pretty hard on several lines:
Composing sales copy
Editing scripts for various programming languages
Writing clips to run inside NoteTab Pro
Processing text files like CSV's
Gathering information from webpages - companion with AutoHotKey macros

"simply the best text editor ever built"
Version: NoteTab Pro 6.2
Pros
too many to list ;-)
Cons
font availability in main editor is limited ti fixed width fonts
Summary
i've been using this editor for many years and rely on it completely for many tasks on my computers. it never crashes, always does what you tell it to do, and has many unique features that make it indispensable if you deal with any form of text, bat, ini, or any other ascii file. I Love It!
an essential tool. i use it every day, its well programmed and the UI is clean - plus it packs a whole lot of functionality that other text editors might only dream of... Well worth the money

"Tried others, but have relied on ntp."
Version: NoteTab Pro 6.2
Pros
I forget how many web pages I have put together with Note Tab.Pro. It's efficient, with everything at hand for HTML, XHTML and grrrrreat for CSS.
Cons
Can't think of one.
Summary
I have tried others and even paid for others, but wasted my money as they never lived up to Note Tab Pro. And that's the truth.
