"Very unique interface. Ability to share NoteBooks."
Version: NoteShare Express Desktop Edition 2.4.2
Pros
It allows you to stay focused. Other outliners have a tree with headings & sub-headings with notes on the right. Often you are over-whelmed with information. NoteShare Express allows you to focus on content, similar to zooming or hoisting.
Cons
As I have WinXP, I can't compare it to Mac. I just purchased the product tonight & as yet haven't discovered any cons.
Summary
As I'm a newbee with the product my input is some what limiting. What drew my attention to NoteShare was the table of contents, index, headings & sub-headings in a notebook environment. This is new to me because of using standard outliners in the past. Again, it allows focus on, research, dumping, organizing, re-writing, etc. while in an over-view state. It allows you to structure content the way you want & not a prepackaged method. So far my emails have been answered completely. I call this "Legendary Customer Service" This was a helpful tip from Scott, Most important concept is how to organize your notebook from the Table of Contents page. Use the Index section too.
There is no ONE right way to use notebooks. Experiment. It's fun. Create different notebooks as you like You can count on us enhancing the software to be as feature-rich as our Mac desktop. -
"The only "Notebook" note taking program I could find"
Version: NoteShare Express Desktop Edition 2.4.2
Pros
very elegant, very intutive
Cons
Not as powerful as their Mac apps
Summary
There are a zillion note taking apps for Windows. But this is the only one that I could find that lets you simulate a physical notebook, with an index, sections, pages, bullets, etc. Very intuitive, top-down way of organizing one's thoughts. They have a couple of Mac products that are also excellent. AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FANTASTIC. ... And I don't know these guys, honest. This is a real review.
