"Didn't improve operation of my computer"
Version: Norton Utilities 1.0
Pros
Easy to use
Cons
It keeps telling me that the computer needs fixing even after it has run and claimed that almost all problems were fixed. No discernible improvement in start-up time.
Summary
Doesn't seem to do anything worth-while as shown in improved computer operation (Windows Vista 64 bit)

"Same as pc tools performance toolkit."
Version: Norton Utilities 1.0
Pros
None tune up utilities 2011 far better.
Cons
Unfair to sell identical products rebadged to customers.
Summary
The fact that pc tools sells performance toolkit without making it clear that it is norton utilities with a different interface but exact same internals is misleading.I myself purchased norton utilities 2010 this week only to find that my installed pc tools performance toolkit already installed on my computer was the same product.I am sure that i would find the registry cleaner was the same as registry mechanic uses.It seems a ploy to sell identical products rebadged to customers.

"Gone are the Glory days of a once major program, Shame"
Version: Norton Utilities 1.0
Pros
It has a great Rrgistry program clean and organize it.
Cons
Wher is my noton disk doctor? Where is the major tools that made Nortons Utilities great. They are not in this program. $49.00, noway. Maybe $10.00.
Summary
Did I purchase the wrong Norton's Program. Where is the Norton's Disk Doctor, The Win Doctor, and all the Norton?s tools that kept my windows running right. I started using Norton's Utilities when it was just DOS 3.3 all the way to XP. I learned to count on Norton?s. If any people knew about hard drives, file structure, MBR, etc, it was Norton. But today, I don't know if they sold the store to Bill, or they are still trying to unravel Windows Vista and Windows 7. Or did Peter Norton pass away without me knowing it, Lord I hope not. Please help someone at Norton?s, pick up the torch. Return to the days of old. Give us the good stuff back that works with Windows 7.

"A great cleaning utility"
Version: Norton Utilities 1.0
Pros
It cleans PCs better than other utilities. It can find things deep within the system and registry. It's reliable.
Cons
No major complaints. It does link to some Windows based utilities but I'm okay with that. I would rather defrag with the built-in Windows defragger than some 3rd party tool.
Summary
A good cleaning utility to have on your computer. Complements Norton's Internet Security Suite well.

"Too Bad: 2009 Product is weak and worse than ever :-("
Version: Norton Utilities 1.0
Pros
Had the promise of an improved product, compatible with Win 7 .... BUT....
they failed. Good thing there is a 60 day return policy. I sent mine back.Cons
Weak system maintenance suite. Some of the apps on the programs home page, are only a reuse or pointer to exactly what's already in Win7. (Disk Defrag is a good example). Hey Symantec: Where's the real value or value add??? Plus it's till buggy
Summary
This is a rip-off... little value to the user and the poor tech support only compounds the problems. Too bad. Symantec used to be a good company with some great products.
Hope they see the errors in their ways, sometime soon and fix some of this. -

"Great registry cleaner"
Version: Norton Utilities 1.0
Pros
Very good for cleaning the registry and cleaning computer use tracks.
Cons
Many of the functions, such as disk defrag, just link to the Windows function. It is nothing more then a menu for finding the associated windows function. That's nice if you don't know how to find them yourself though.
Summary
This is a great program for cleaning the registry and computer use tracks! It is well worth the download. The program has a 30 day trail period so try it out for yourself.

"All in one utility."
Version: Norton Utilities 1.0
Pros
All in one utility.
Cons
All in one utility.
Summary
Works just like it is suppose to. Keeps my computer working fast like it should. Would recomend and buy it again. I have always used Norton products and will continue to use them. Try Norton utilities and internet 2009 and I think you will like them. The new products run better and don't slow your computer down.
