I bought NIS 2009 for CAD$48.99 at Futureshop when it first loaded on the shelf in the Canadian cosumer Market, it is pretty cheap and works extremely better than my two NIS 2006s that I'm using til now. I used mcafee before, it doesn't seens good at virus removal and the firewall seens quite useless as well. Engineered to speed, absolute security ever. In addition, I don't think Mcafee have 3 user edition compared to Norton. Even Norton 360 3.0 is way better than Mcafee. Cheap pirce, wide protection!

McAfee has a MUCH smaller database than Norton. NO software can detect all malware traces however Norton has a much better detection rate and is much lighter than McAfee

Please check av-comparitives mate, and look at the size of Mcaffees data base and its around one fifth of the size of nortons and then concede. Next look at the scan times and compare, next look at recent pc world tests and alternatives on the net and you will find Mcaffee is rated no where near norton, and overall is the best antivirus available taking in to account all factor, not just detection rates.
