Overall norton internet security is definitely recommended by me because for the features you get it is highly worthwhile for the price you pay.
Its real time protection and full pc scan remove viruses, rootkits, trogans, spyware, malware...and provides many internet features:
-site recommendation
-identity protection
-email scan
-anti phishing
Iv tried many security software such as trend micro, kaspersky, avg, bitdefender...all of these are great products, however they lack that little bit of protection that norton has to offer. Norton say that 'many computers scaned with norton that were deemed safe by other security software have been found to have some issues' - and this is completely true.
Yes it is true that norton do have quite a few false positives, but its always better to be safe than sorry. -

The graphic display in performance mode, or flip mode has got to be my most favorite tool. It is most effective in displaying usable graphic icons that show additional features.
Cons
There is nothing I dislike about the software, or the online world wide staff support, who are very responsible, knowledgeable, and professional in solving problems I can not solve on my own.
Summary
The scan features are the next most important features I use. Having three distinctive ways to scan my computer is powerful, and very effective at exposing hidden intrusions. Keep up the great work.

Summary
Used to be with Mcafee but no more now I'm with Norton and couldn't be happier. Doesn't hog memory, protects my computer from almost every threat around. It's worth paying 59.99 a year for this.

Scan times are faster "on demand" detection good as long as you have heuristics set to high.
Cons
Large footprint and too many false positives does not uninstall cleanly even with Norton removal tool 100s' of entries left in registry that i had to delete manually.

Average detection of new viruses(proactive detection) avcomparatives test results out of 23,237 new viruses malware Norton only received 2 stars lost points due to false positives flagging clean files as malware.Top 3 star awarded Nod 32 and Microsoft (my fav antivirus software free + paid ) other av also got 3 stars such as kaspersky + Avira Pro . McAfee only awarded 1 star

I own a computer shop, I recommend NIS 200 to all my customers, doesn't take RAM resources, 1% to 3%. Reliable, fast became the Best ever from Symantec.
Cons
None, unless you want a 100% software perfection, which can be found in heaven only.
