"Slow, resource intensive and doesn't work properly"

    by dakota3 on November 14, 2008

Pros: Nice GUI, broad range of features, reasonably easy to use

Cons: Ridiculously resource intensive, slowing other applications to a crawl if running a scan. Full system scans are amazingly slow - I often just gave up. Still missed malware that other antivirus/antispyware programs picked up.

norton uses little of ur resources. most antivirus' full scan system are slow, u must be patient. anyway, it will take less than an hour to finish scanning your com.

Norton 2009 is very light. Older versions were heavy however please actually try the newest version. Its proven by many many companies to be one of the lightest software around.

To everyone: Please don't write a 1-2 star review based on previous versions. Try the version you are rating. If you're rating an older version, go to the reviews of older versions by choosing from the Older Versions menu.

oh yeah resource intensive eh? you using a p2 rite with 64mb ram. I guess it would run smoothly even on that config. have you even tested the 2009 product. if you had you would have known how fast it is. bet you must have read some opinion about norton on some site. and now you have written your own review.
