    Version: Norton AntiVirus 2010 17.0

    "worse than nothing"

    by ram7777 on November 12, 2008

    Pros: Nothing at all

Cons: takes way to many resources, and it has conflict with a lot of programs. Exept virus witch letīs them all work just fine

    Summary:

    Updated on Dec 19, 2009

Ok I'm no genius, but I never said that I was trying to run 2 antivirus programs AT THE SAME TIME, So please fredom... And I do insist that Norton is an exceeding and splendid pice of crap. Which has conflicts with many other programs which connect to Internet.
AA AND THE UPDATE is as smooth and fast as turtle walking backwards

What programs does it conflict with may I ask?

If you say it conflicts with Antivirus programs, please realize that you can't run two AVs at once. You also can't run two real time protections at once either.

Norton 2009 takes up very few resources and is won AV-Comparatives.

Hahaha, man, I had the worse day ever and still yo made me laugh, but I think is not true, the 2009 version is quite light but I would underline this people is much more concern about making money and brake torrent versions than actually care about the virus library, AVG in my experience is the one who cuts everything short this days, but also in my experience Norton comes second.

All security programs will conflict with other security programs. This is to avoid slow down of your computer and two products conflicting each other.

Norton 2009 is very light. Older versions were heavy however please actaully try the newest version. Its proven by many many companies to be one of the lightest software around.

Free ones often have lower security features than paid subscriptions. If you didn't like Norton in the past, give it another chance. It listened to customers and the new products is the lightest of them all.

To everyone: Please don't write a 1 star review based on previous versions. Try the version you are rating. If you're rating an older version, go to the reviews of older versions by choosing from the Older Versions menu.
