    "Surprise, actually peforms well!"

    Pros

    -Comprehensive protection (Come on it's Norton afterall)
    -Lots of settings if want to config heart out
    -Firewall nice replacement for Windows'
    -Performance impact really is negligible! (that's right)
    -Little extras like CPU usage history cool for geeks
    -Completely free from Comcast cable ISP

    Cons

    -Identity Safe doesn't work in Google Chrome yet (may with 5.2 update now)
    -5.0/5.1 may have a kernel driver issue (ran into an issue a couple times I seemingly traced to Norton)

    Summary

    Very cool AV suite package, especially if can get it free from Comcast (snd you can even give it to other people not on Comcast, up to 6 others besides yourself).

    I have no idea where you heard that you can give NSS to people who don't have Comcast. You cannot do that. I have Comcast too and they are on last years version yet. They didn't update to the 6.0 yet. Just thought I should post this because I don't want you or anyone to get in trouble.
