"I've Used Norton for about 25 years now."

    April 27, 2013  |   By Bobs415

    Version: Norton 360 6.0

    Pros

I've always liked this system - set it and forget it! I used Norton for more than two decades and have never been disappointed. On the few times I've needed customer support, they're right there to assist in whatever manner they can...and then some. People will tell you it's "bloatware," but I've never had any such problems. Norton 360 has caught infections and intruders immediately and recommends how to proceed.

    Cons

    Cannot think of any.

    Summary

I recommend this product, without reservation, to anyone.

    "Two thumbs up!"

    March 26, 2013  |   By tsashton

    Version: Norton 360 6.0

    Pros

I've been using Norton 360 for the past three thee years.
    Functions as designed.
Easy to use, never have had any problems.
Informs me of threats and isolates them.
The format lay out is simple and self explanatory.
I bank online and never have to worry about ID theft.
Does not slow down my browser or email. On either Comcast or on Frontier.
I manually check for updates before clicking my browser, only takes a few moments.
The quick is just that "quick",Norton can shut down your computer after either a quick or full scan; so click and go.
Should need to communicate with customer service they are knowledgeable and speak English that is easy to understand (not a small issue if you need them).
Don't know what's up with these folks that have "issues" with Norton, I suspect that their computer was previously fouled up before they installed Norton.

    Cons

No down side that I can see, however Norton 360 can be purchased cheaper than $79.99. Unless you don't want to uninstall and re-install, than Norton will automatically update and install annually.
This year I bought Norton for 40.00 at Costco.

    "Satisfied!"

    March 11, 2013  |   By SatisfiedinMD

    Version: Norton 360 6.0

    Pros

Easy install/uninstall, doesn't slow my computer down one bit, and has detected and removed several threats.

    Cons

Haven't found any as of yet.

    Summary

Bought this six months ago and have had zero problems. It's tuneup application is great because it runs when the computer is idle and when I come back to my computer there is a message in my notification area that my pc is tuned up. I haven't tried the backup feature yet, but I will because it's a good idea to backup to more than just one location. Overall, I am pleased with this product and recommend it to anyone that is looking for the most bang for their buck when it comes to an antivirus suite.

"adequate with very friendly and helpful tech support."

    December 8, 2012  |   By rsindel

    Version: Norton 360 6.0

    Pros

Good tech support. Norton insight is very worthwhile. Security vault is very good for the Market and more than adequate for the casual or business user who does not deal with protected information.

    Cons

A little time intensive. Beginning to try to sell an online logmein product which employs many with only so much insight as their software can give them and do not have ready access to 2nd or third line support. They also are menu driven and try to make you run the same gauntlet of boxed support options every time before kicking the problem upstairs. 2nd level support not inquisitive about user found fixes, just wants to "get the job done," without a drive to learn something about the problem. Disappointing. But over all good.

    Summary

Needs better access to support. Installs easily and remove and reinstall tool solves almost any hardware glitch. Many no restart upgrades a definite plus. Installs in a minute. Good basic security and tuning software, no nonsense interface, and totally undeserved bad rep from previous mistakes. They learned and should be rewarded.
