The latest releases include a number of improvements and bug fixes as well as adding long awaited support for other platforms such as Windows and Linux.
NodeScan can now be used to transfer files across platforms on a local network or across the Internet.
Substantially optimized file sharing performance. Uploads and downloads exceeding 3 MBs per second should be possible over a fast connection. A "File Transfer Options" window has been added which allows file and network buffers settings on both the client and server to be customized for optimal file transfer speeds.
The previous 2MB file size limit has been removed. The server operator can now set the maximum file size which can be shared.
Improved support for running the server via a proxy server or behind a router. The server will now automatically determine its own network reachable address once a client or server connects to it.
Improvements in security for searching and inter-server communications (search queries and server to server messages are no longer sent as plain text).
