"Too Intrusive"
Version: NoScript 1.1.9
Pros
The fact is that the XSS 'cross site script ' blocking is a good idea, but it takes a rocket-scientist to manage to get all of the permissions correct.
The good news is that the added an update to the program recently that allows you to simply 'allow all top-level' domains by default.
(Trust me, you want to do this. That's like saying it's okay for download.com, but I have to decide if 123.download.com can run scripts)
Cons
If you're not an IT person, I would say this is going to frustrate you as it blocks the most popular scripting language on the Internet (Javascript), which is usually needed for all of these interactive, or, 'Web 2.0' sites, like download.com (for example)
It also blocks Java, Silverlight (Microsoft's new interactive language for thier sites), and a host of other issue's that will have you frustrated just trying to get pages to load.

"Good addition to security"
Version: NoScript 1.1.9
Pros
Good tool against browser hijacking.
Cons
Adds overhead because the user needs to give permission to all good sites to execute Java script. Requires further development to become user friendly.
