"Payware and works ok. Other free tools work better."
Version: NoClone 3.2.37
Pros
It finds duplicate files pretty fast and has an integrated file viewer.
Cons
GUI is quite the jumble and is Pay-ware. Mo-Search is free and comes with a Find Duplicate Files tool that uses MD4 and integrates into Windows Explore: Just right click on a folder to [Find Duplicate Files]. It also groups duplicate files and sorts by wasted space – so you deal with the worst offenders first. Overall, NoClone is not the best choice.

"Good Technical and Business Experience"
Version: NoClone 3.2.37
Pros
Software did everything it said it would do (no suprises!) Reports were very usable. Ran seamlessly in my Windows-XP environment. Ran reasonably fast for the activities it was performing. Features compared very favorably to those offered by similar packages. Company was VERY responsive to a few process/operating questions I had.
Cons
Is a feature rich product, but did not have 1 or 2 features offered by the competition that I'd liked to have had (but then, the competition fell even more short of my wish list in other areas). Your own comparisons may reveal NoClone fulfills your own wish-list. I provided specifics to NoClone company, and perhaps future releases will incorporate said.

"Excellent. Does just what I wanted when tidying up my hard drives."
Version: NoClone 3.2.37
Pros
For years whenever renewing hard drives I copied the previous files onto the new one. The result being over the years the same same files were being stored several times taking up valuable disc space. This software does 'What it says on the Tin' it finds the duplicate files, lists them together and give the opportunity to transfer or delete the duplicate files. The 30 day free trial was useful to assess. I am most impressed - thanks.

"MP3 files were NOT selected correctly"
Version: NoClone 3.2.18
Pros
I have little pros to report. I wanted to remove duplicate mp3s that iTunes creates all the time. See cons...
Cons
I could not remove a single one. Unlike the other reviewer my (paid for) version (also on XP SP2) could only recognize the same file name (e.g. track01, track02..etc) but could not distinguish the differences in file sizes. The "file size" as selection criteria was selected but greyed out. I communicated with customer service, sent the requested screen shots then they dropped me. No solution. I suggest to try it before paying for it. Too bad.

"Works quickly for de-duping large MP3 libraries"
Version: NoClone 3.2.18
Pros
This product does what it says, and has a myriad of user configurable options, i barely needed to scratch the surface to perform the first task I used it for, but have since gone back in for more.
In less than 3 minutes it found the 700+ mp3s that were duplicates on my office machine. (XP SP2 P43G 1G ram)
I then selected which of those duplicates I wanted to delete based a few criteria and was able to move the files (preserving or collapsing the directory structure) to a separate location to use or delete as i liked.
The workflow is simple, but the interface has difficulty showing that under the weight of all the options, basically:
1. CRITERIA: choose the file criteria (file types & path -local or network) you want to work with
2. SEARCH: for duplicates within that criteria. Results will be displayed in color coded pane. The power of the tool lies here in how you can bundle and choose masses of the data rather than selecting each duplicate by hand.
3. TASK: choose the subset of results you want to act on (the newer files, the files in a certain location, ...), and choose the task to perform on that subset, move, del, etc.
Cons
The jumbled interface is distracting and not intuitive. Lots of colors (multiple consecutive lines of the same colors indicate duplicates) but you only need to look at these when you are down to a handful of files, most actions can be handled in batches.
Free version allows for only 30 files per task.

"Fatally Flawed"
Version: NoClone 3.1
Pros
The product makes interesting claims.
Cons
NoClone is far too unstable to be a commercial product. Don't be suckered like I was, NoClone CRASHES CONSISTENTLY on big projects (i.e., the whole point of a dupe detector). I'm not exaggerating, NoClone crashed roughly 6/7 times on big gigabyte-sized projects. To make matters worse, it isn't set up to handle crashing well, since it doesn't save its progression and it can take upwards of an hour for it to finish checking large projects. So, you have to start from scratch when it crashes.
The help files aren't very helpful either, since there's no search function. I couldn't figure out what the color codes indicated for the life of me.
I could go on but why bother? It's simply unstable.
