"Easy to use"
Version: NoAds 2006.07.28
Pros
I'm not a computer guru, so this program is perfect for someone who uses their computer average daily use. I like how I can add or remove a popup with just a couple of clicks of my mouse.
Cons
I can't think of any cons to this program at the moment.
Summary
All in all, I'd recommend this program to anyone who wants to give it a try. I'm perfectly happy with it. My preferred browser is Firefox and I've not had any issues with using NoAds with this browser.

"Sadly it's not the "NoAds" of the past"
Version: NoAds 2006.07.28
Pros
This is a very flexible product that gives you good control over what windows (ads linked to websites) open when surfing the net.
Cons
I find this software is blocking certain functions of some programs, freezing the computer up on others and interfering with all my browsers. (Firefox, Chrome, Opera)
Summary
I'm and intermediate to advanced user and can't find any configuration that works with everything so unfortunately due to the problems explained above I've had to remove this once VERY useful tool.

"Very User Friendly!"
Version: NoAds 2006.07.28
Pros
Let's me add URL's on the fly. GREAT feature! I've been looking for a pop up blocker that let me do that because the downloaded sites to block don't always have ALL of the pop ups to kill listed. Also works with Firefox!!!
Cons
Sometimes a bit slow to kill the pop up, but it does kill it.

"Superb at (specifically and only) blocking popups"
Version: NoAds 2006.07.28
Pros
NoAds does an excellent job of blocking popups. Its database is already stocked to allow it to identify popular offenders, and you can easily tell it to add any popup that it missed. It's small, uses negligible resources, and works in the background.
Cons
CNET claims that it doesn't work for banner and Flash ads. If that's true, I haven't noticed.
Summary
I think that this is an ideal stand-alone popup blocker, and it's free. However, it does nothing else, so if you want additional functionality, it's not the product for you.

"Simple and reliable"
Version: NoAds 2006.07.28
Pros
It blocks every pop-up that I tell it to. I use it as a supplement to Internet Explorer's built-in pop-up blocker. I have certain sites that I want to allow most pop-ups from, but that also have annoying and useless ones that I would like to block. Internet Explorer blocks each site all-or-nothing, so you can't block just certain pop-ups from a particular site. This program allows you to block pop-ups by title, so it mops up those extra ones that Internet Explorer can't.
The program is unobtrusive and easy to add targets to. It is fairly quick about closing a targeted pop-up.
Cons
I'm not sure it is good enough to be a stand-alone blocker. It doesn't explicitly support blocking all pop-ups by site, although it does support wildcards, so it might be possible to do it.

"Overall very good product"
Version: NoAds 2006.07.28
Pros
Once you tell NoAds to block a popup, it never appears again. Remembers your popups across computers.
Cons
You have to manually tell the software which popups you don't want, which on the one hand is good (so you can allow the ones you want, like bank site popups) but on the other hand it interrupts whatever you're doing to maximize NoAds, click the offending popup, then click Hide to go back to your task.

"Does what I need well."
Version: NoAds 2006.07.28
Pros
I have tried other pop-up blockers that either don't work, or blocks too much (ie: pop-up menus, wanted web pages that open in new windows, etc.) This pop-up blocker is configurable, allowing the user to decide what pops up, and what doesn't. The interface is simple, once learned. I highly reccommend this blocker to anyone who wants to control the function of their pop-up blocker.
Cons
This blocker does require being taught what to recognize. Although it does already recognize quite a few major pop-up violators, you will still get some. Once you tell the program to recognize it though, the offending ad will not pop-up again. It even has a wild card feature so you can teach it entire groups of pop-ups, but you do have to be careful using that feature. The help file teaches you the correct way to use that, and it's other features though.
