"Enough informative app."
Version: Newt Professional 2.5 build 78
Pros
Easy-to-use interface and well-detailed information about the computers scanned.
Cons
No essential problems found.

"It won't manage anything, it is an audit tool only."
Version: Newt Professional 2.5 build 54
Pros
It's super fast, and it scanned the network without any problems. Unlike Spiceworks, had no problem going over the firewalls or WMI. Offers lots of information, and works like a charm.
Cons
Newt will not manage or keep inventory. It shows you the scanned information, and offers you the chance to save it in proprietary format so you can view it later, OR you can export everything as a Access Database or CSV. If you create your own program to pull from that database or CSV, it will make the perfect inventory program. Otherwise, keep looking!

I love the Muli-treaded scanning that was just added. It takes only minutes to inventory my network now.

"Does what it says on the tin!"
Version: Newt Professional 1.0
Summary
I can't really fault this program. It finds out more information about all the machines on the network than I can about my own PC at home!
To sum up it's an invaluable tool that is a must for a network of more than a couple of machines. -
"A Great tool for gathering details on the computers attached to your network!"
Version: Newt Professional 1.0
Summary
I have tried several tools that claimed to 'scan' the network for hosts. Newt is the only one that has delivered anything near what was promised. The interface is intuitive, the scanning is quick, and the program works happily while minimized without hogging all of my PC's or network's resources. I only needed a couple of days with the 10 machine demo before encouraging my boss to get us some licenses! The online forums are helpful, and the support has been fantastic. My questions have been answered, and follow up was prompt and courteous. Great product so far, and I look forward to the coming enhancements.

"Finally, a reasonably priced too that works!"
Version: Newt Professional 1.0
Summary
I was using the original free tool for a long time but then pushed my company into purchasing the Pro version. All we needed was a solid inventory tool. This government agency did not need a product costing thousands of dollars and applications like SMS are overkill for us given our size. I am very pleased with their product and support.
Goo job!! -
"This is a fantasctic product for inventory control"

Summary
I have been using this product since it became available around the first of December. I have found it to be very useful in keep track of software on my systems and to obtain other types of hardware and software information. I looked at other software packages but found this one to do nearly everything the other software products could do at a fraction of the cost.
When I have seen an issue with the software all that was needed was to add it to their forum on their site and I received a quick response.
They appear to be adding NEW feature all the time to make a better product than what it already is. I highly recommend Newt Professional. Their competition has something to weary about.
