"Horribly unintuitive for newcomers"
Version: NewsBin Pro 6.42
Pros
It's not semi-abandoned like Newsleecher.
Cons
How many...
'Download into folder named for subject' results in an atrocious mixing of gigabytes and gigabytes of vob files [rather than downloading all "XYZ" movie vob files into the 'XYZ' movie file it downloads ALL VOB files from different movies into one folder jumbling them all up. Just idiotic] Newleecher is far more intuitive. What a mess.
Downloaded files just disappear at times. The log tells you nothing, there's not a trace in the 'failed files' tab. This happens over and over again.
The search function is erratic.
The 'add groups' command does not seem to work for some groups.Summary
The intuitive factor is about a 3 or 4 out of 10. If you don't have hours to sit and figure out a program this ain't for you. If you come from Newsleecher you've got some learnin' to do.
