Version: News Rover 11
"very poor indeed"
Cons: This is some of the most badly written software I've ever used. The interface is like something written in the 1980s: clunky and not at all intuitive. By far the worst aspect though is that it is a resource hog. As I write this my PC is all but unusable as NewsRover is downloading the message list from a news group with a large number of messages. The hard disk is being hammered, NewsRover is using 99% of CPU and everything else has ground to a virtual standstill. Perhaps their programmers forgot that people may want to continue using their computer while NewsRover is doing its stuff.
Give this heap of junk a wide birth.

Not sure what kind of system you have but it must be lacking. I can even run my autocad while this is running in the background and not have any trouble. As for the ease of using the interface my eight year old son used this for a school project, downloaded wild animal pictures without a bit of help from me.
