    "Serves its purpose well"

    September 2, 2009  |   By DiFFeReN7

    Version: Network Drive Manager 2.5

    Pros

Far more efficient than than any VBS or Batch script, great in non-domain environments. Quick to automatically reconnect drives, light on resources, eliminates unwanted notifications.

    Cons

Too expensive, especially after currency conversion from US dollar (nearly $22 per computer). Cost not appropriate for business or other environments with lots of computers.

    Summary

Great software for small home or office workgroup networks.

    Updated on Sep 2, 2009

Correction: cost is now more steep that previously (ouch):
    1-1 USD: 31.30
    2-9 USD: 20.32
    10-49 USD: 15.61
    50-99 USD: 12.47
    From 100 USD: 9.33

"Great for monitoring drive mappings and reconnecting."

    February 12, 2009  |   By bruhwilerm

    Version: Network Drive Manager 2.5

    Pros

You can see the status of drive mappings and you can reconnect after a network failure on a Windows Network, just like on a Novell NetWare Network!

    Cons

You have to be careful you don't click on the wrong button because it doesn't have labels for some of the pop-up features.

    Summary

I started to look for this type of product because a busy director didn't want to have to reboot or logoff and on to get Windows drive mappings to work again. And we are always having to remap drives due-to server reboots, so this might be a great solution for our network nightmares, until Microsoft improves their drive mapping features.

    "Does its job very well"

    August 22, 2006  |   By us_scanlines

    Version: Network Drive Manager 2

    Pros

This program silently does its job very well.

Saves us a lot of frustration about the disconnected computers we had earlier in our network.

Rock solid, runs well after weeks of operation.

"Ensures my network drives get connected"

    July 8, 2006  |   By mechem72

    Version: Network Drive Manager 2

    Pros

This program really ensures that all my network drives get reconnected after

startup my PC, and it manages well to prevent loosing the connection. The latter

was an annoying problem when I used mapping network drives of Windows.

This is the only program in its kind that I could find on the internet.

    Clear interface.

    Cons

Personally I'm not using the "run program" feature after the drives have been connected, but I think it might be handy if this list could be configured per drive.

    "Very good!"

    June 23, 2006  |   By limatho

    Version: Network Drive Manager 2

    Pros

This app goes beyond where Windows Explorer fails; it reconnects drives at startup and activates them instantly.

When using Explorer's map network drive, I always loose the connection after a while. This app prevents my drives from disconnecting.

Another nice feature is that it can launch other programs when the network drives are connected. This saves me restarting and clicking away annoying error messages when my network drives are not yet ready.

"Not cheap and haven't got enough features"

    June 20, 2006  |   By GezaGabriel

    Version: Network Drive Manager 2

    Pros

Got a better overview than the DOS-based "net use" would give.

Loading programs when a network drives reconnects.

It may give little help for beginners and it has a detailed help file.

    Cons

What is that feature you can't do with your own simple Windows Explorer? This program brings - SELL - you the basics you already have with your operating system. I wouldn't pay for this.

It'll list all drive letters - even if they are already mapped. When you accidently map a share to an occupied letter, it won't ask before to replace it or no.

I suggest an uninstaller to the program group.
