"Um...what? HAHAH!!! NOT A VIRUS you are all safe."

    March 15, 2014  |   By smartfool

    Version: NetTools 5.0.7

    Pros

I've used this tool a lot for various different things. Just used it to block my internet to kick my sister off of Netflix so I could watch Netflix XD. Great tool and it's fun to mess around with all of the things it can do.

    Cons

McAfee says "VIRUS! VIRUS! TROJAN! TROJAN! BACKDOOR!" and I have to click allow like 10 different times while net tools is installing. Even google chrome tries to block you from downloading this program because it is supposedly "Malicious." Anyway anyone who is worried about it being a virus, don't be. If your too scared then don't even bother worrying and just don't download it.

    Summary

Overall just awesome, fun, and gets the job done!

"Good should be checked by a professional for Trojans"

    November 17, 2013  |   By jjumbojimbo

    Version: NetTools 5.0.7

    Pros

Anyone using zone alarm or AVG should be shot because I do not consider free antivirus as reliable or trustworthy
There are many useful tools available most of which should
NEVER BE USED BY NORMAL PC USERS

    Cons

The up-loader may have put a Trojan in it I haven't checked this particular download needs to be checked by a PC expert who can verify

    Summary

I've been learning hacking for the past 2 years and I know in fact that the software itself doe's not have a Trojan, I know how to manually detect Trojans without an antivirus. However some of the tools may or not be able to create Trojans I haven't looked at all the tools yet also I downloaded from some where else and my copy is clean I checked myself and with my antivirus and found nothing anyway I would love to test if this software on this website does have a Trojan in it but that would just waste my time downloading it again so have fun and don't bully the up-loader too much he uploaded it for others to have the opportunity to download and if it does actually have a Trojan he probably downloaded it from some other dodgy site of course it would be pretty stupid for anyone to put a trojan with tools that hackers use??? wont other hackers notice and trace his IP address even if he uses a proxy or something there's still a big possibility that the proxy he uses can verify who he is if he is doing illegal activities

"Got blocked by Google after trying their netpinger tool"

    June 6, 2013  |   By boustiere

    Version: NetTools 5.0.7

    Pros

    Have nothing to say

    Cons

Got me in trouble with google search

    Summary

First, during installation I was warned for threats by Microsoft Security Essentials. I read the reviews here that it may be false positive, so I give it a try. Last thing I remember before the program freeze is that I used the netpinger tool to ping google.com. After some time I was not able to search via google. I searched via Bing to find this article that explains the issue in details: http://techblog.willshouse.com/2011/06/30/our-systems-have-detected-unusual-traffic-from-your-computer-network/

"Loaded with virus and back doors!"

    August 1, 2012  |   By Nventor

    Version: NetTools 5.0.7

    Pros

No pro's for back door software.

    Cons

It has more than three types of Trojans and at least one back door as reported by McAfee. Viruses can not be detected until you begin your install.

    Summary

CNET should block this programmer from posting his information theft tools.

    "Great collelction of tools"

    July 14, 2011  |   By jbayone

    Version: NetTools 5.0.7

    Pros

Wide variety of network audit resources.

    Cons

Reports a false positive on certain AV programs.

    Summary

Really useful tools. The users who are voting low because of false positives probably don't need to be using this software in the first place.

    "great"

    August 12, 2008  |   By hamster401

    Version: NetTools 5.0.7

    Pros

everything, its a comprehensive set for anyone that has a bit of interest in computers.

    Cons

The only problem would be that some people believe that there is a virus in this program. It isn't a virus, its a program that is similar to a trojan horse just because it allows you to control another computer. It isn't malicious at all and i would anyone reading this download IMMEDIATELY!

    "DON'T USE VIRUS FOUND"

    August 5, 2008  |

    Version: NetTools 5.0.7

    Pros

    MINUS 5 STARS!!!

    Cons

Zone Alarm detected a virus immediately after downloading. I left an email with the author -- but he said that it's just a "false positive". That's B.S. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS TO USE -- especially since it embeds itself into your network.
