Version: NetPerSec 1.1
Pros

Summary
Many attempts over several different days and all I get is this:
The server at services.yaga.com is taking too long to respond.
No other message of any type, including security blockage. -
"NetPerSec forever: use it on every computer I set up."
Version: NetPerSec 1.1
Pros
Tiny footprint; loads and installs on every Windows OS I have used it one from Win95 to Win7. It gives me an accurate speed rating for every site and connection I question.
Cons
There are none.
Summary
Many programs fail to convert applicability from one platform upgrade to another. Not this one. Simple. Loads Quickly. Negligible system resources to speak of. Most of all the graphic second by second rating for upload and download (simutaneously) confirms my connection and speeds while connected. Great for testing speed ratings of ISP's for my customers against their contracted speed ratings.

"Been using NetPerSec for years and trust it implicitly."
Version: NetPerSec 1.1
Pros
NetPerSec gives me the true upload and download speeds and keeps me alerted to problem connections by showing me when my connection speed drops to dial up or slower speeds. Tells me when a speed problem is at my end or the website I'm connected to.
Cons
None. I've never had a problem with it or a complaint about it. Mind you that I've not used it with Vista or Windows 7. Just Windows XP.
Summary
It tells my just how fast my connection is running and can be adjusted to show what is happening second by second or averaged out over several minutes. It's a great little set and forget program that runs in the background with a little system tray icon that gives you access to what is going on when you need it. The icon shows a simple graph that gives a quick representation of your internet activity and speed.
