You can find plenty of programs to handle your CD- and DVD-burning tasks, but few have as many features and cover as many aspects as Nero. Beyond burning CDs and DVDs, you can back up your computer, create artwork for your CD and DVD cases, make complex mixes with Nero's built-in mixing software, and even check your hardware specs to make sure everything is up to speed. We like the comprehensive coverage of all things that have to do with burning, making it possible to avoid juggling several programs to make a single CD. We're also fans of the Nero PhotoShow Express module, which lets you manage your digital-image collection and create custom slide shows. One of Nero's greatest features is its MPEG-4 encoder for copying noncopyrighted DVD movies to CD-R/RW and several other media formats.
We were skeptical of the fact that Nero might be trying to stuff too much into its software, but the StartSmart GUI opens a clear path for both beginners and advanced users to every aspect of the software suite. We would like a 30-day trial rather than having the demo expire at the end of the month, which gave us only four days from our installation. Overall, this great suite of programs covers all your CD- and DVD-burning needs, and we recommend it to anyone with a writable drive.

Pros: It has lots of features, and support is excellent. The main burner(only) is very easy to use. The other features would require extra skill, though. If you want a burner-only burner with a nice interface for an economic price try Ashampoo Burning Suite. I have both on my PC. I consider Ashampoo Burning Suite and Nero 6 the best!
Cons: Extra features besides burner are quite complicated for newbies to use. For example, the WAV Editor is simple ONLY for audio junkies. But Nero's excellent! If only I could get the burner only.

"A Few Flaws But Mostly Solid Program"
Pros: It's a fast burning software package loaded with many features and combined features that other CD/DVD burning software packages lack. It really uses your drive's speed as accurately and maximum as possible. Highly recommended for your basic speedy CD/DVD burning needs.
Cons: It doesn't burn many Xvid related videos accurately like Roxio does. It'll come out garbled or it won't play at all off the CD/DVD. It also has a poor habit of placing things out of alphabetical and numberical order if you're trying to create a music CD of Mp3s (especially if it's broken down into folders).

Pros: As noobs said it, it doesn't include MP3 encoding. What do you want? If you want to ENCODE MP3 then get an encoder! This program is best at it's area so stop whining about things it doesn't have and look at what it HAS.
