"I like it!"
Version: NeoOffice 0.8
Summary

I have been looking for a free alternative to M$ Office for quite some time, and this is the first one that has really stepped up to the plate. It does have some bugs yet (I crashed it a few times), but overall, it's very good for what I need: to open the occasional office file.
Plus, it's definitely one of the the fastest Java based Apps I have ever seen! -
"my fonts work here withouz problems..."
Version: NeoOffice 0.7.1
Summary

... I can read all documents made with OO, MSO. I couldn't get the fonts working in the OO X11 version. Here all my fonts work, OK, I can't use them correctly when they're in folders.
This version does not handle Aliases on computer and I've problems with the database connections, too.
But this one is still great, support these guys they made a good work until now. I think it works better than the original. -
"VERY NASTY"

Instaler downloaded Ok and worked fine - BUT
Not only does it set itself to default opener of all MS OFFICE files, but there is NO WAY to unset this
AND
wait for it....
There is NO unistaller
...Not to metnion the numerous file handling issues and other bugs it has!
Install this junk at your peril! -
"Nice without X11"
Version: NeoOffice 0.7.1
Summary

It's not great... But the anti-aliased fonts along with my full compliment of OSX fonts is nice. Printing is easier, too. Still ugly interface and long start-up time, but hey... This means we're getting close to a viable alternative to M$. -
"Well, it worksâ?¦"
Version: NeoOffice 0.7.1
Summary

Still takes forever to launch, and still has that fugly Windozey GUI. But it's fairly snappy once it's running. And it gives me easy access to all my fonts, unlike the X11 version. Definitely a step in the right direction.
