The single most important feature to me is its ease of use. You can edit in real time mode, meaning you see the web page, and you just type into it. You format things, add links, etc., and the program takes care of the code.
The second most important feature to me is the ease of setting up photo albums and slide shows, and it creates tables with snippet views of your photos, and if the user clicks on the photo they see the photo in real life.
I need updated software, and software that will run in Linux as well, but I'm having a REAL hard time finding anything like it. Most software, no matter how "easy to use" only lets you view HTML code, whether you have to write it yourself or the software writes it for you, then when you are ready you have to open it in a web browser. Plus I haven't found ONE that does the same thing with photo albums.
Some features have grown a little buggy. At one point it always loaded a black page by default no matter what I did.
The feature which allows you to preview and select a theme previewed okay, but when I selected the theme, nothing happened besides the Themes-feature dialogue box going away. I tried it three times. On one attempt I did get the outline of the theme tables(panes) in dotted lines to appear and editable "Insert Text Here" labels, but no background colors, images, banners, buttons, or etcetera.. just nothing. Tried to use "download more themes..." in the dialogue box and went to a page at the NAMO site which was a generic landing page that had no downloadable content of any kind available.. GO FIGURE...
You can tell that "something happened" to this software... that once upon a time ago, the original chief programmer who masterminded it was a brilliant fine mind, but unfortunately it appears that something happened, a mgmt or corporate change-over ...I don't know.. but something is just not right... Try at your own risk..
There's a lot of potential here.. just don't be surprised if you get let down.... I was.
It really takes out a good deal of the drudgery of repetitive tasks and once formatted correctly, is quite easy to update websites.
Support is non-existent. Do NOT EVER lost your product key, login key registration codes, etc... .because it will be next to impossible to install it otherwise if and when you switch computers or reformat your hard drive. Trust me on this one.
This would be a really dynamic application used by a lot more people if they didn't have such terrible support. They used to have an inadequate knowledgebase but now it doesn't exist anymore. You pretty much are on your own if you run into issues. I would really like to see a new drive on their part to increase their sales by spending just a few extra dollars on support. For example, they have an excellent tool on how to create online tests/quizzes for teachers, and how to make the form, but next to nothing on documentation on putting it on a server for others to use. I have as yet to find a service or application (except for google forms) that makes this task relatively easy. Probably why google docs is gaining in popularity.
....since, once installed, it told me my trial days were over.
I tried to download Namo WebEditor and Namo CodeEditor, because they looked good from screenshots...but that's just to attract suckers. v_v Once you install it - even IF YOU NEVER INSTALLED IT BEFORE - they say the trial is over and you have to buy it, otherwise the program closes down....SCAMMERS!!! >.< STAY AWAY FROM THIS EDITOR!!! THERE ARE BETTER ONE YOU CAN GET WITH LESS MONEY (like WeBuilder2011, TopStyle, EditPlus)!!!
