I've been using it to provide internet service over fairly large area, over 500 users, multiple simultaneous devices, limit their browsing habits. It performs well if you know how to configure and if you know how to configure your network.
Had some minor support consultations until I got it setup.
It's a clone of MS Office, which means you don't need to learn to use any new software. Since it's free, you don't need to worry about registration, serial no's, and how many computers you can use it on. It's also much lighter than MS Office, so opens faster and uses less resources. I've been using it for over a year and had no problems at all.
Can't think of any, really.
Some people talk about spyware and communists... personally I haven't experienced any of this, and have up to date antivirus and anti-malware programs that would detect this. I don't think the Chinese govt wants to spy on my computer, unless they like playing my video games and listening to my music. Maybe that's a good reason to spy on me though...
Swiss-army knife kind of calculator, it has everything you would ever need from calculator. The fit module and matrix operations are very useful. The Unit conveter - for everyday use try Integrated env, the multi-tab one is more sophisticated but sometime too sophisticated.
Excellent universal calculator!
A few minor bugs do not spoil the excellent general impression.
Actual software works good - But the software maker (Sourceforge) is Okay with making money off its users by allowing nefarious companies very CLEVERLY install crap ware with constant pop-ups and begging for money to "clean your computer". If Sourceforge is Okay partnering with such horrible companies, that how can you trust them with ANYTHING?
Malware - Crap ware - Stealth installer. I USED to LOVE Sourceforge Filezilla - NOT ANY MORE! Now they VERY CLEVERLY push crap-ware on your computer during installation. It is disguised VERY cleverly - And Although, technically they may be "doing it with your permission" - YOU have NO IDEA it happened until you get Constant, non-stop, Spammy pop-ups all over your computer screen that look like they are coming from some nefarious Russian hacker. SHAME ON YOU Filezilla. You have been ERASED from my GO-TO list of TRUSTWORTHY software makers. I will NEVER use ANYTHING even remotely associated with Filezilla any more. And Yes, I feel this way even though the actual software has been very good - but WHO CARES about that if the makers of this software are OK with making money off their users in such an underhanded way. If they can do this, what ELSE can or are they doing with the guts of their software that you have TRUSTED them to allow on YOUR computer??
Version: Mail Attachment Downloader 2.4 build 804
Was able to download all attachments for the business account within minutes
Running as a windows service requires additional purchase
Never written a review before for CNET but compelled to write one here as I thought the software deserves a higher rating.
Using mail attachment downloader to automate business invoices we receive for a couple of months now. The program works phenomenally well once it has been configured.
We receive several invoices from suppliers and we have configured this program to automatically hand off the invoice to our invoice processing software.
Works tremendously well and the PRO version is fairly cheap compared to other more complex and expensive solutions. Highly recommend it if you are a small business to take the hassle out of processing invoices.
Free all around PC security. I've been using ad-aware since it was anti-spyware software. It's as effective as ever. It finds all the threats and the live protection doesn't slow my PC to a halt. This program continues to be a reference in PC security software.
WOW ok, so AD AWARE is 100% legit ! Not gonna say which ones Cough *AVAST* Cough *AVG* slowed down my computer the point where I wanted to trash it and replace it all together. The resource footprint some of these antiviruses had on my computer slowed it down to a crawl and resulted in a lot of fasle positives along with some nasty viruses making it through my supposed firewall. Well no longer! I installed Ad Aware last month and have seen a night and day difference in everything; no intrusions, no pop ups, complete protection, kickass firewall, website protection and very thorough yet quick deep scans.
Not really a con, but I'd like to see a different interface next version.
A must for any person using a PC or laptop with Windows
