Version: NET Traffic Meter 2.1.2
Pros: Simple interface.
Cons: This little pup won't uninstall ...on both WinXP Pro and Vista. Be careful. Also it doesn't detect the wireless network adapter in Vista.

"Fine but lacks software identification"
Pros: well, it's got everything as a net monitoring software required for general home purpose.
Cons: professionals should look for paid options with more functionality. But it lacks software identification, i.e. which software used the net in a particular session or time.

Version: NET Traffic Meter 2.1.2
Pros: Nice interface and chart for analyzing traffic usage, nice features (if they work)
Cons: Didn't work for me, probably because I use a PPPoE connection and Net Traffic Meter (NTM) only detected physical network adapters, not the PPPoE connection (which identifies itself as WAN miniport for some reason on my WinXP).
Also, after Uninstalling, the program left its entry in the Start Menu and in the Program Files direcotry with a bunch of DLLs.
Takes up over 25 MB of system memory.

"Awesome App. Great for monitoring w/o invading privacy"
Pros: *Records all net traffic without increasing it.
*Doesn't keep records of the sites you have visited
*Semi-Low memory usage
*Great for monitoring all the computers in the house to find where that download has goneCons: *Easy to get around (if monitoring someone else's net usage is your aim)
Summary: Overall great program, needs a 'insert password' to quit system to stop people from exiting read more
