"AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!"
Version: NCH Toolbox 1.16
Pros
The paid version of the Debut screen capture software is easy to use.
Cons
It placed malware in both my desktop and laptop. I had to reload Win7 on the desktop, and a system recovery on my laptop. AVOID at all costs. I did have it scanned by anti-virus program before installing, which said safe. So be VERY CAREFUL, and AVOID it

"Like it, only used the free version"
Version: NCH Toolbox 1.16
Pros
Fantastic, like some of the software better than the "best" softwares out. Haven't found a file it won't process yet. Free
Cons
Nag screen everytime you use it to purchase. Can't process bulk in free version, but for free I have no problem with that
Summary
I like it fine. The free version of all the softwares I have tried have done more than what I need them to do.

"Software doesn't Work. ZERO customer Support"
Version: NCH Toolbox 1.16
Pros
None, couldn't get the software to work.
Cons
Software doesn't work
Rude Customer Service (see copy of email below)Summary
Purchased Software, Wouldn't Work. Contacted Customer Service.
Days later get response unrelated to question. Ask again and then complain. Days later get an email with some of these customer service oriented comments.
I just love the way that this customer (i) thinks he bought the
$29.99 and $49.99 versions of the same program when he actually
bought two completely different software products, (ii) apparently
didn't read the instructions on the' Software Registration Codes'
email about entering the license Registration and Activation Code for
VideoPad Master's Edition into the software's registration window,
and (iii) specifically chose to pay NO support with either purchase,
and then turns around to complain about not being able to call us on
the phone.
I think we should be reporting him to the BBB!

This was in reference to the fact that the software I had bought didn't work after it was registered. It continued to not allow me to register it again. These comments were made from the customer service people at the organization and then forwarded to me. Apparently I stupidly should have to get the paid support to even get assistance when their product fails to work at all right out of the box so to speak.

"The worst thing from Australia ever"
Version: NCH Toolbox 1.16
Pros
The demo version worked OK.
Cons
I went to purchase and activate and IMMEDIATELY found that this company's customer service is NONEXISTENT, and their products DO NOT WORK CORRECTLY. They apparently hate their customers, and do not want to hear from them.
Summary
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! HIDEOUS COMPANY, TERRIBLE SERVICE, AND I WILL BE CONTACTING MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY IMMEDIATELY TO REVERSE THE CHARGE.

"Easy to Use - DON'T BUY IT - Video Pro"
Version: NCH Toolbox 1.16
Pros
Easy to use. Basic.
Cons
THE WORST TECHNICAL SUPPORT. Forums are closed. Forum questions are largely unanswered. You have to buy a support membership even to get an email response. To make matters worse, you have to PAY for software upgrades, even if they are a day old!
Summary
The cons speak for themselves...

"Have to re-buy the software when new versions come out?"
Version: NCH Toolbox 1.16
Pros
The software works nicely.
Cons
I tried to upgradae recently and their web set required a re-purchase. I think not!
Summary
Good stuff if you have the funds to buy the same potato over and over.

"Great Software, Poor Technical Assistance"
Version: NCH Toolbox 1.16
Pros
Software has a lot of options, and is fairly intuitive. Works well.
Cons
Company EXPECTS you to burn and keep the original software), and is un-supportive of re-installation of your on-line purchase. My hard-drive crashed, and I had to reinstall my OS and programs, the current software doesn't work with my purchase.
