Only thing "good" is that it seems to run in Vista (many of the other recipe programs I tried didt't
Cons
I got the full program up and running but I must say I am very disappointed with it. I find it's very user un-friendly, to the point of annoyance. For example, every time you open the program you have to re-open a "book" just to get started. While a relatively minor annoyance I couldn't find a way to set a default "book" especially since I only need one book to begin with.
Worse and more annoying is that the program doesn't offer any built in categories or sub-categories (such as main dishes, deserts, vegetables, etc.) that I have seen on all the other programs of this type. Again without some basic default categories you have to type everything in just just to get started again taking the kind of time I'd hope a recipe program would eliminate or at least minimize.
The interface that does exist (for ingredients) is cumbersome and again not intuitive. For example, I tried to enter a recipe that called for 1 stick of butter but there was no way to amend ingredients measures to add a "stick" as a unit. I the I spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out and just gave up.
The program is a real pain to use and I want my money back. This is program I'll never use (already deleted it) and there's no way to really test it out the because the "trial" version locks all but one category until you buy the license. Without a full version trial period there's no way to know how cumbersome the program is. Please, refund my money and I'll go buy some index cards and save my aggravation for politics.
