    "Easily The Best Player/Organizer Available"

    April 7, 2014  |   By DontWannaKnow

    Version: MusicBee 2.1.4924

    Pros

This player is very customize-able. It has many layout options and skins. There is almost no limit to how one could set it up. The sound is superb. It has a 15 band equalizer and some DSP stuff built right in. You can also use Winamp plugins to tweak it even more! You can tag and organize music manually or automatically online. It can show album art and lyrics. It is very fast and uses moderate resources. It's totally free of cost and ads.

    Cons

Like many good players, MusicBee can take some time to fully learn. It is not as hard as some I've tried however, and the time spent is well worth it!

    Summary

Like many other reviewers, I have tried them all. As a rule I Found them all lacking in one respect or another. MusicBee is the exception to the rule. It does everything I could ever want in a player and it looks and sounds good also. I also use the portable version at times and it works and looks identical to the full version. Great combo!!!
Foobar, Itunes, Mediamonkey and WMP users who are looking for something better should give this a try!!! I'm pretty sure if given a chance MusicBee will be the choice for most.

"Fantastic player is true sucessor to 15 year old Winamp"

    October 30, 2013  |   By das9125

    Version: MusicBee 2.1.4924

    Pros

    + Very customizable interface
    + Very user friendly
+ Great options all around: convert, rip, etc

    Cons

    - None I can think of

    Summary

I have tried every single music player there is to try.
From iTunes to Foobar, to mediamonkey.

Musicbee trumps them all. It is a one-solution to all of the things I want in a music player, extremely flexible, clean interface.

Finally I have found the one player. Only the original WinAmp, 15 years ago, was at this level. Let us hope they keep it that way.

    Updated on Oct 30, 2013

Thinking of future versions, perhaps the Auto-Tag and Lyrics searches can be improved a bit. Also, having the Visualizer and EQ as part of the main interface and not as separate windows. Please guys.

    "BEST MUSIC MANAGEMENT/PLAYBACK SOFTWARE"

    August 2, 2013  |   By gsmcdonald

    Version: MusicBee 2.1.4924

    Pros

The sync is one of the best features. I have a basic phone. The music files have to be in a certain directory on my phone. The music files can't be in sub-folders. This software allows me to sync the music files into the correct directory without the sub-folders. I haven't found any other software that can do that. The interface is much smoother compared to CNET's current screenshot. If you right click on the now-playing module over the album art, you can use album art from the internet. This is helpful if you don't have the art. You can also embed the art into the music file.

    Cons

    I have no complaints.

    Summary

This is the best music management software I have found. The sync feature is especially impressive.

"Great upgrade to an already Great player!"

    July 4, 2013  |   By Smeaga31

    Version: MusicBee 2.1.4924

    Pros

Please note this review is about my experiences as a person who already used MusicBee and simply upgraded to this version.

Very fast simple download. No spyware, adware, toolbars, etc. No need to opt out of anything during install.

I didn't have to change my settings back to how they were after upgrade. Everything was just as before.

There was no need to uninstall older version first. This just replaces what you have with the newer version.

Never had a better upgrade experience really.

    Cons

A newcomer to MusicBee may find it a little intimidating at first.
As I stated in a previous review of MusicBee It takes some time to learn it well, but well worth it to learn!

    Summary

This version is a little quicker and sounds just a hair better than before. They have added radio stations and some visual goodies. By and large it is just good old MusicBee. Still My Favorite and Keeps getting better!!!!!

"Too many other programs added to my computer."

    June 30, 2013  |   By lot812

    Version: MusicBee 2.1.4924

    Pros

Nice software but hard to use.

    Cons

Poor layout for me to use.
Worst it that I got additional malware programs with it, like toolbars, etc. that did not want. I did not see a place where you had a choice not to add them.
SHAME ON CNET FOR ADDING THIS JUNK WITHOUT ANY OPTIONS OF REFUSAL.

    Summary

Stay away from it unless you want junk... Gotta be a better program out there.

    "Love it sooo much"

    May 25, 2013  |   By sonofzog

    Version: MusicBee 2.0.4663

    Pros

Very quick and simple to install
Very simple and intuitive to use

    Cons

The skins don't floor me but I don't care much

    Summary

I've been avoiding using or upgrading iTunes for years when possible. Without wasting time on horror stories (you've probably experienced them yourselves or you wouldn't be looking at MusicBee), I'll just say the last straw was the fun I had installing it on a new PC.

I unzipped MusicBee, told it where my music files reside and poof, I was looking at all my music, well organized and easy to navigate. One of the quickest installs and setups I've seen.

"Search no more. This is the one."

    April 27, 2013  |   By redwizard79

    Version: MusicBee 2.0.4663

    Pros

    * Versatile renames music files
    * Moves files from a set of directories to an organized folder automatically
    * Can automatically populate track info/album art from internet search and track scan (awesome!)
    * Extremely customizable
    * DJ mode that seems to select a decent random mix
    * automatic lyrics display
    * any files without enough data are automatically sent to Inbox for review

    Cons

    * Multi-panel interface sometimes feels twitchy
    * no automated way (I could find at least) to fix a set of tracks' info (highlight all and Cntl-L)
    * you could be overwhelmed by options, but just stick with it

    Summary

I have tried iTunes, MediaMonkey, and Windows media player to manage a music collection. They are all amateurs compared to MusicBee. After using it for about 5 hours, I went to the website and donated $5. Once I get my wife hooked on it, I'll probably give more. It is really good.
