"How did I get along before I got this program???"
Version: Multi Block Storage 3.3
Pros
Love not having to look up anything any more!
Cons
Sometimes it's necessary to do "control" "insert" instead of just clicking the button - but that's probably a MS problem since it happens only in Word.
Summary
I am an intellectual property paralegal. I keep all the information for each of our clients on a separate "page" in Multi Block. This serves two purposes. First, I don't have to look anything up each time I need to enter it into some document or form. And second, the numbers and data I enter are always correct! No typos are possible when you enter the data from Multi Block instead of retyping it.
I work for patent attorneys, so in our case, for each client, their Multi Block page contains the following information: the names of each inventor, their address, citizenships, and e-mail addresses, the application title, serial number, filing date, charge number and prioirty documents and filing dates for each application, all relevant grants and grant numbers, the examiner's name, the group number, the attorney handling the case, his/her registration number, the contact information for the client, and any other information that might be needed repeatedly.
At this point, I have "pages" for hundreds of applications, each of which consists of between 20 and 40 "buttons."
In addition to the pages for each patent application, I also have pages with buttons containing text for various form letters, and a page containing all my passwords.
Additionally, when I am storing references sent to us electronically, rather than having to enter the path to a particular folder with each reference, I just put the path on a temporary button. It cuts the time required immeasurably.
For such a simple and inexpensive program, I cannot begin to tell you how much it has improved the speed and efficiency of my work!
