"Doesn't do net backups, interface archaeic"

"As Advertized"
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
Does exactly what it says. Works well as a backup utility or as a mirror. With a little help from the documentation, had this up and running in less than 15 minutes. Mapped a network Drive, selected a folder to mirror to. Added a volume to mirror and backuped data hourly with compression on and with compression bypassed. Would highly recommend this in a small network environment.

"A mirror program it isn't."
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
MM does not mirror a drive and it does not copy all files (skips system and hidden). After installing, it locked-up about 95% through a drive C: backup - without an error message. Killed MM and the system continued to operate with no problems.

"It's a backup program not a mirror"
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
The program makes an image file on the selected drive and you can restore from that drive, that's a backup program not a mirror program. You can do the same thing with Microsoft Backup.

"More of a backup program than a mirror"
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
I DL'ed this looking for a program to create a mirror image of one drive to another. This program says it creates a mirror image but not according to my definition. It puts it under a directory structure I didn't specify (you have to go into advanced options to turn that off) and then compresses the files, changing the filenames. You're supposed to use the software to access the "mirrored" files. That sounds like a backup program to me. I was looking for something which would take a directory with files in it and make an *exact* copy (isn't that what mirror means?) in another location. Maybe a decent backup program.

"wished it worked, but it doesn't"
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
The program would omit files from the mirror. It also generated error messages that were hard to make sense of (e.g., Unexpected end of compressed file). The mirror volume was on my CDRW. Perhaps that was a problem.

"best backup program I have ever used"
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
This is one of the most useful programs I have ever come across. No more worrying about backups - just set up the timing and then forget about it! It took me a little effort to get it set up, but once I did - well worth it!!!

"A GREAT Disk backup"
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
I have used this program before for about 6 months and it was great at seemlessly backing up the critical data to my zip drive and to a secondary drive.

"Needs features for use with laptops"
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
This product works great for backing up desktops (that are always connected to the network) to a network volume. Great for saving those files that your users forget to save on the network, but without requiring them to leave their systems on overnight (if you're attempting to use network based backup software). The major disadvantage is that laptop users will constantly have to babysit the software since whenever the laptop is disconnected, Mr Mirror will forget what drive letter it's supposed to backup to. Unless the user remembers to check this the next time that they connect to the network, they're laptops will not get backed up to the mirror folder on the server.

"very good tool"
Version: Mr. Mirror 2.1
Summary
Mr. Mirror works as very stable and reliable tool in the background and allows the mirroring of a list of directories to only one target directory. It is adjustable to the user needs.
