The Apple menu is the single most missed feature of the Classic Mac OS that was never fully implemented in Mac OS X. It is true that the dock does most of it, but many functions such as folder browsing can be painfully slow. Mr 9 menu is a tiny and completely harmless application that places an icon in the dock. Clicking the icon bring up the Classic Menu bar for instant access to the old Apple menu. The application comes with no bells or whistles as it was designed to run on a minimum of space and memory. Not even code for registration or demo limitations were included so this "pay-if-you-want-ware" comes unlimited and fully functional.
What's new in this version:
Three choices for access are available. "Hidden", which means that you activate the Classic menu by clicking the dock icon. "Access box", which displays a tiny clickable icon just beneath the Blue Apple. "Needle", the ultimate in minimalism. No icons that take up screen space. Just point the mouse pointer to the left side of the screen. An strip 100 pixels high just below the Blue apple is designated as a "hot area".
